Summary of Life at IPE

Remarks :

The admission process is very transparent and smooth. The admission forms can be found on their college website. All you have to do is only search for the Institute of Public Enterprise on Google and go to their site. There is an option for admission on the website and you have to go to that section and fill out the form and then apply. The fees and date will be mentioned on the site as well. I wrote the MAT exam and the eligibility for MAT was the 60 percentile. MAT, GMAT, C-MAT, and CAT exams are accepted. The eligibility criteria for different exams are mentioned on the college website as well. You have to fill out the form and upload your scorecard and different details and submit it. If you are eligible a call letter will be sent to you. Then G.D and P. I would be conducted and after clearing those you will get admission to IPE.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose PGDM because it is more industry-oriented and helps to get good jobs earlier as compared to conventional M.B.A. PGDM in IPE has a very good R O.I and PGDM program (Flagship) is beneficial for people who are from different backgrounds as in the first year you get an idea for all the subjects and then you can choose wisely your dual specialization. This gives you time to think and understand your potential in different areas. The faculty-student ratio is good and the student feedback system is also good. The term exams were not too tough but all the questions are concept based so reading only books won't help. If you attend classes and understand the topic well you will get good marks on the exam.

Internships Opportunities :

There are internship opportunities in this college and those are paid internships. Different companies such as Heritage, Reliance Group, Metrics4Analytics, Delloite comes for internships. The internship projects are mainly on marketing and finance domain.

Placement Experience :

The placements are good here in IPE. A lot of companies come for placements such as Delloite, PWC, HUL, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Federal Bank, TCS, Amazon, and many more. Delloite is the mass recruiter in this college. Delloite takes around 100-110 students from a batch of 540. The highest package this year went to 24 LPA and the average stood around 6.54 LPA. Around 96-97% of students get placed. Students become eligible for placements after 3rd trimester which means after the completion of 1st year. My plan after getting the degree is to get a good job at this college.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The total tuition fee is 8,15,000 where you have to pay 4,55,00 in the 1st year and 3,60,000 in the second year. After completing the course you will get back your 15,000 caution money or refundable deposit. There is a scholarship for students. It is a merit-based scholarship, depending upon the marks in the entrance exams scholarship is available. The scholarship amount is mentioned on the college website. The placement is also good and you will get internship opportunities from college with companies such as Reliance Group, Heritage, and Deloitte.

Campus Life :

The campus life is good. Hostel rooms are really good as compared to other college's hostel rooms. All the rooms are air-conditioned and you get options for double occupancy and single occupancy. There is a lift in the hostel. You get a water Purifier on Every floor of the hostel. Hot water is available two times a day, once in the morning and the next in the evening. There are different clubs in the college like media club, sports club, photography club, marketing club and many more. You can be a part of any club you like and enhance your extracurricular skills. The campus is also very neat and clean. A gym is available for the students and other sports amenities include a cricket ground, FIFA-certified football ground, indoor badminton court, basketball court, volleyball court, table tennis, and carrom. The library is also good and has a variety of books. Dinner fest is organized by different clubs and the annual fest is Sanskriti. The classrooms have ac and projectors.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility is good. All the rooms are air-conditioned and you get an options for single occupancy and double occupancy. There is a water Purifier on every floor and the hostel has two lifts. The rooms are nice and have beds and mattresses as well. There is a table, chair, study desk, drawers, and almirah. The room also has a shoe rack and an attached bathroom. Room cleaning takes place two days a week and you also get laundry service. The food is also decent, not too good. You get nonveg for three days a week only at night. So with the facilities that the hostel provides the fees of the hostel seem quite affordable and justified.

Interview Experience :

There was GD and Personal Interview rounds for the admission. After you clear the GD you will move into the Personal Interview round. Basic questions were asked about myself and about the course and areas of management. If you have a brief knowledge about the course and management you can easily clear the interview.

Course Curriculum Overview:

To settle in the good financial sector and to improve my skills. The student ratio is less in MBA courses. The faculty is less supportive. The faculty is well educated with Ph.D. and Doctraits, Method of teaching should be changed. There was no time for preparation for term exams. It was quite difficult to pass.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum lasts for two years for the primary reason that there are fewer students in each batch, which makes it simpler for the students to arrange their schedules so that more people may attend lessons at once. Most of the faculty members are doctorates in terms of their qualifications, and they have a wealth of articulate, varied experience. The faculty members here are very professional and come from a distinguished backgrounds.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chosen Triple Specialization majoring in Marketing, minoring in Finance and sectoral in Digital marketing. I always wanted to get into marketing with a mint of finance which would help me in business for the long term. Being a marketing student, I have now improved all my soft skills which intern helped me in becoming an individual that has aced up the skills. Each faculty is assigned 5 students which is a 1:5 ratio. All the mentors help the students to achieve their desired roles and help the students upskill. The faculty at SSIM are well experienced in their respective fields and have great exposure for the students who will be learning from their experiences. There are 6 trimesters for 2 years which are 3 trimesters each year. Students will have case study learning along with the core curriculum which will help the student in writing the application-based exams with ease.
