The underrated one

Remarks :

The admission process looks simple now but it's quite complex while you just completed high school and finding a whole new process for getting into colleges. Also i found it more complex in offline admission round.student need to cancel their previous admission by themselves and i found lack of information provided for the same.

Course Curriculum Overview :

While I was choosing college and branch the branch was the constant factor I was clear about it after communicating with other college students and faculty. IIT is in huge demand nowadays so it's really worth choosing it if you are genuinely interested in it. Faculty: student ratio will roughly be 1:20.all the faculties are well qualified. Also, they really want to teach students, unlike other colleges. They are also too much supportive in nature. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. in their respective fields and the rest have master's degrees. (M.tech mostly) we have two term exams every semester. They are mostly based on our university level. So not so hard as well as not so easy.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is really simple. The fees that are approved by the government committee will be taken only. There are literally no hidden fees that are what I really appreciate the most. Because in most of the colleges they take too many extra fees except tuition fees but here you don't need to worry about the same. A fee hike will be also done when the government committee will approve it. Also, I didn't face any hike in fees in the last 2 years so it's not a thing to worry about. There is various scholarship given by the college itself as well as from the government too. The government gives free admission to Meritious students on some seats they have to pay 0 tuition fees. Our college gives 25,000 to the topper of every sem., also if you come into the top 10 in your last sem there are so many rewards like if you are a gold medalist then you will be rewarded with your whole college fees+1 lacs, if 2nd then 90% of whole fees + 90,000, .., likewise for 10th 10% + 10,000.

Campus Life :

The campus is quite big and really good. There are various fests organized every year. But as I got admission during the covid period I'm quite unaware of it. But I recently witnessed the tech fest at our college where I got a chance to organize an event on behalf of my department at the college level. It was really one of the best experiences. All the faculties and seniors supported it and got to learn so many things. Also every year indoor and outdoor sports week are celebrated separately. This means in one sem you will have indoor sports week for games like chess, carrom, table tennis, and badminton and in another sem that year the outdoor sports week will be celebrated for games like cricket, basketball, and volleyball. There are various clubs at the college level as well as at the department level. For each thing like singing, dancing, acting, and social work there is a club at the college level and at the department level, we have technical clubs based on some technical topics like Android, web, ml, etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is too good and faculty members are so humble and calm, they give instant responses to your doubts. I choose mechanical engineering because one of the reasons is my interest, I love machines, how they work, etc. And 2nd reason is Rajkot city is the hub of mechanical engineering in Gujarat so you got easily job. Especially in mechanical engineering, there are 90 seats available and all are filled. The student ratio in mechanical engineering is almost 100% boys. Teaching is so nice, and also every lab is available with the latest machines and other equipment so that you can also learn with a practical approach. The exam is not too difficult.
