Pursuing B.E in CS at Jayawantrao Sawant College of Engineering Pune

Remarks :

Eligibility for applying to this college is min 60% required in 10th and 12th and also candidate must have been appearing in jee. In this college, various types of scholarships are provided to the students on basis of their admission category which I think is one of the best support for those students who are economically weaker. Application form filling is a long process as like other colleges but it's smooth as well management is sometimes very supportive. College fees depend on students' category and reservation so they may vary according to that. According to me if they add more staff and do everything with proper planning then all processes of admission are going with a proper systematical flow but at last, they managed everything on time this I say is a positive side.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I have had a keen interest in this field from the very beginning so I will decide to choose that course and this course has scope in future also according to the placement point of view if we see it. In my department, there are almost 15-20 faculty and 200-300 students. Some of the faculty members have master's degrees and some are PhDs. Except for 1 or 2 faculty members overall, the teaching skills of all are great and also their behaviour towards us is very supportive. For every 30 students, there is one (Guardian faculty member) who listens to our all problems and supports us, which is one of the best rules of this college which I like the most. In a sem, there are 2 mid-term exams, 1 insem exam and 1 end sem exam (college as well as a university ). College exams are not so difficult to pass but university exams are really very tough with knowledge and skill one can pass easily.

Internships Opportunities :

Many internships are offered to students according to their skills. some with a stipend and some without. ybi, intel.oasis, etc Projects on which the majority of students work are web development,Html-CSS, web site making, portfolio, data science, cyber security, etc

Placement Experience :

From 6th sem students are getting placed as company visited. 500-600 offers are made and companies visited like..Capgemini, Accenture, Wipro, BYJUS, ATOS, TCS, INFOSYS, TECH MAHINDRA, etc and many more. The highest Package is 18lpa and the average is 6-7lpa. Almost every student like 95% of students is placed. As I get placed in Capgemini after my degree I worked as a software engineer there.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

For many years there is no hike in the fees for our course it will be 1,12,690. There are various types of scholarships provided by the college authority like EBC(for general economically backward), OBC(for obc category), TFWS(tuition fees waiver) I am recently placed in Capgemini starting off my 4th year, and till now at the start of the 7th sem, almost every student in my batch is placed many of them got 4-5 offers on campus which is really a great achievement.

Campus Life :

College held a traditional day once a year in the month of Jan and a gathering which was really fun. Dandiya nights, industrial trips, freshers. farewells, western days including many more days of Feb...sports days held once in a year, Ganpati celebration like there are lots of things to have fun one can really enjoy the campus life. Classrooms are provided with a spacious rooms having light and ventilation properly, Fan and A.C also Projectors are available. In the library almost all the books and sides books are present and one can access them anytime during college hours. EVery department has its separate clubs where students worked on their projects and intersected with their mentors and also learned many new skills.

Hostel Facilities :

In Campus, there are separate girls' hostels which is one of the best things about college, especially for girls candidates who are from outside. The hostel covers a large area having greeneries, ground, walking area, mess and proper drinking, as well as warm water for bathing, also has a wifi connection. Rooms have enough space for the living of 3 girls ..rooms including study table, mirror, wardrobe, cupboards, windows, bed. Daily cleaning of rooms and bathrooms is done by the aunties who work there. EES structure 38,000 for the hostel and 24000 for the mess. I also lived in a hotel from my 1st year. Foods are good not very well but ok like according to to mess. And the menu is different for every day and week. breakfast, lunch and dinner are included.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The professor is highly knowledgeable they are very supportive if we find any difficulty from any problem then they help a lot with it. Exams are in every month and final semester exams are there If we study hard then exams are not tough. Negative point is that sometimes faculty say anything bad so it gets irritated.
