XIME Kochi - PGDM

Remarks :

I took the CMAT exam with a cut-off of 75 percentile, followed by a group discussion with a team of 10 and then a personal interview. My interview lasted 20-30 minutes, during which I explained my graduation and employment experience. Overall, the process went smoothly.

Course Curriculum Overview :

It has a really good curriculum that is relevant to the industry's requirements. As a first year, it was for setting up a foundation strong in all aspects of management, and as a second year, we are allowed to choose electives from a wide variety. Our curriculum is well supported by live projects and industrial visits where we learn about both the theory and the practical aspects of management. A few faculties are really good and will put their whole hearts into their students. The case study approach helps to understand the concepts and the frequency of exams is a bit high, but it helps you prepare for a corporate career.

Internships Opportunities :

The college has a good tie-up with all the big reputed companies. You can get an ample amount of opportunities for an internship if you are doing it from XIME Bangalore and for the Kochi campus, internship opportunities are a bit less comparatively Thats one problem. But here you will get the opportunity to work in startups so that you will have much more exposure than working in a big company. So in terms of learning it helps you a lot but not the big names.

Placement Experience :

Placemats in XIME generally start on the first of November and they provide ample amount of opportunities to everyone. At the initiative of the placement week, all the major big companies will come just the name you, like Accenture, and KPMG. EY, Oracle, Wipro, Infosys, JP Morgan, Etcetera. For this year, the placement is still going on The average CTC goes around 12 to 14lakhs depending on your caliber if you are in the top 20%. You can expect a good package. Which will be above 12,00,000.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

A variety of scholarships are available from them. They award scholarships based on your entry cut-off and then based on your academic performance. They also provide scholarships based on meritocracy. In addition to internal scholarships, the college has tie-ups with corporate scholarship programs.

Campus Life :

Among its best features are its clubs for finance, marketing, operations, and HR, which are completely student-driven, enabling each student to become a good team player and providing opportunities to become a leader. As far as infrastructure is concerned, the college is very up-to-date. The college has a gym and all the major sports facilities as well as a well-stocked library where one can also order books. Students drive all the clubs and learn management skills. To name a few, they have licenses for HBR, Thomson Reuter, and Statista, which help a lot in research and live projects.

Hostel Facilities :

It has well-equipped facilities like automatic washing machines and 24-hour Wifi, making it one of the best hostels in this price range. The cleaning staff comes every other day so you don't have to worry. The students' only responsibility is to study and focus on their projects. The food quality isn't as good as this is the case at all hostels around the world, but the good thing is that the management is very responsive in terms of any problems and they resolve them.

Interview Experience :

There is a whole interview process that starts with a group discussion in which there are 10 members and they give us a contemporary topic to discuss, followed by the personal interview. To prepare for GDs, one should be well versed in communication skills and current affairs
