All about Ihm hyderabad

Remarks :

A year before my admission I had given a Joint entrance exam for which the forms were available at IHM Mumbai. exam application forms will be available at the nearest IHM eligibility is 50 percent marks in 12th standard since it is a central government-run college there are reservation benefits. the admission process is very smooth no change is required.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I always had this dream of running a hotel, especially because I am a foodie. The faculty-student ratio is around 1:40 but it is easily managed because of the seniors all the faculties are Ph.D. or post-graduates. term exams were twice a year and if you study well it wasn't difficult to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

For internships since we all were from different cities used to give interviews at our home locations and roles were the various entry-level jobs in the hotel, like associate stewards, receptionists, bellboys, at the concierge, after a point when you become good at what you are being taught they consider you for slightly bigger roles like supervising a microtask.

Placement Experience :

From the fifth semester / 3rd year we become eligible for campus placements. various hotels along with retail chains like Domino Mcdonald's, pizza hut, Taj, and Marriott. The highest package was 6 lakhs per annum and the lowest was 2.5 lakhs per annum my batch had a placement percentage of 85. I started working with royal orchid Bangalore after my degree.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There were no fee hikes during my 3 years of graduation, the cost to study is also good, I got an internship at JW Marriott Mumbai with 1600 stipend per month and was placed at royal orchid hotels with 9000 stipends per month, I hadn't taken any financial assistance.

Campus Life :

Annual fests were carried out at nearby hotels felicitations were done, apart from this most of the festivals were celebrated Christmas celebration was pretty big because we had huge cake-making competitions and huge feast preparations. libraries are well equipped with many books and journals. classrooms are equipped with projectors and screens a PC and speakers. sports wasn't much on the cards but yes there were a lot of extracurricular activities played. there were several Facebook groups created and run by students for blogging and sharing knowledge.

Hostel Facilities :

The hostel facility was decent it wasn't fancy as such but it was better than the facilities outside, Meals were sometimes good and bad. The menu was 3 courses and repetitive. hostel registration was at the time of admission and it was less considering the outside facilities.

Interview Experience :

Before the admission, there was a joint entrance exam post for which we were called for counseling at IHM Delhi. the process is a simple form filling and then preparation for JEE for which they provide basic study material you will have to brush up on your Quants and logic questions grammar section as well.
