My graduation days

Remarks :

My admission process was done based on the score I scored in CET Exam. This is eligible in the state of Maharashtra only and I took admitted to swami Ramanand birth Marathwada university and cut off was around 40% and I scored 64% in CET then we had to fill out documents and pay the fees in the college itself we had to stay in line for long. The admission process should also be online from now onwards. But in the end, I end up doing my post-graduation in covid didn't get much chance to explore my university and have more exposure.

Course Curriculum Overview :

As I wanted to do MBA from the start when I chose the commerce stream but I was a bit confused about where I couldn't leave the city and had to choose from the rare choices I had so I chose SRTM university and the faculty was well educated but I had an issue with language since I don't know Marathi much. Exams were taken timely and if you study well nothing is difficult to pass.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

As I come under a minor I got a scholarship opportunity for the Sikh minority. Fees as compared to other universities and private colleges were quite less so I opted for university. Due to covid we didn't get campus recruitment but all our teachers were posting job openings in the group and interested candidates can go for the same.

Campus Life :

We just had our freshers and one or two programs in December and January as we started late due to some legal issues in admission in 2019. My classroom was quite big and had a projector as well where we used to present our ppts. We had a huge campus that had many indoor as well as outdoor activities including hostels but used to live nearby. There were many groups but due to covid, we didn't get much chance to participate in any due to the chaos.

Placement Experience:

After the second semester, students become eligible for campus placement for jobs but for internships, students can apply from 1st semester itself. TATA AMC, TCS, Fendhal, Property Pistol, Kime, and Nagarro are some of the top companies that visited our campus to date. The highest package of our batch has been 10LPA. Around 95% of students are already placed and the target is for 100% before completion.

Placement Experience:

In the initial months of the 1st semester, we go through the summer placement process where 100% batch gets placed within a few days and the average stipend for this batch was 3.03 Lakh. The special thing about SJMSOM is that 50-60% of the batch gets PPO from the summer internships itself and thus for the finals only half of the batch competes among each other. The average package for the Final Placement is 28.88 LPA and the highest package is 54 LPA with 100% placement. Almost all top companies from FMCG to Investment Banking participate in the placement process and there are ample opportunities for the students to get their dream roles.

Course Curriculum Overview:

MBA is the most practical finance course I know to pursue with a good scope so I decided to go for it. It has various case studies and learnings of the industry. The faculties are good as well, they have good knowledge about the subject they are teaching
