Remarks :
There was an Entrance conducted by the university which had basic questions related to C, Data structure in C, and basic computer fundamentals There was a 60 and 40 system in the entrance i.e 60% were taken from the entrance test and 40% were taken from the 12th class result But now As for NEP(New education policy), no entrance was conducted the admission was merit based (12th class percent) The detail for the addmission process is posted on the website cusringar.edu.in.The applications are out between march to June There should be entrance as it was earlier and there is a hell lot of delay in the result process which should be sorted
Course Curriculum Overview :
I opted for BCA (Bachelors in Computer applications) As far as my addmission is concerned I was allowed Govt women's college M A road Srinagar the college has a brutal student ratio which created an adverse effect on the environment The faculty is highly qualified most of the teachers have done Ph.D. and some have done Master in computer science but the teaching approach is not of that level as it should be there is a very less practical approach that the course demands Our exams are Semester wise 6 Monthly the paper was quite difficult it had a difficulty level of which our teachers didn't make aware of
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Fee is quite cheap we had a total of 16425 of the total fee for One year which had Two semesters There was a reduction of Rs2000 in fee for 2nd year There is some sort of assistance for students who belong below the poverty line As far as Scholarship is concerned there is only NSP available which is to be renewed yearly There are no placements till now which is a major drawback
Campus Life :
To my knowledge, there was not any type of fest conducted in the college but extension lectures and awareness programs are organized quite often e.g(Cyber jagruti Devas) The college has a nice library and almost every type of educational book is available The lab has a nice computer for coding and other stuff and there are smart rooms for lectures which are quite amazing Due to the Brutal student ratio and small campus area sports and extra circular activities are not entertained on a good level The college has no social groups, clubs, and websites but there as many social media pages run by students itself
