Remarks :

We can get admission here by either the allotment process by Calicut university or by buying a management seat. SC and ST category students do not need to pay any fees here. We have 6 semesters and in each sem, we need to pay 19500 as sem fees, exam fees and other fees are not included with these. Application form for management seat is available in the college itself. Otherwise, for the allotment process, you can visit the site of Calicut university. Anyone who has studied biology in higher secondary is eligible for this course.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I took this course because I needed a degree in one of the science subjects. Then I did a small research on science subjects life science degree is suitable for me and biochemistry is one of my life science degrees. The student-faculty ratio is about 4:22 .When we talk about the faculties, I have to say most of them are not permanent and will not stay till our portions finish, if they get another good job we will not see them anymore. And most of their teaching method is still from ancient times and it feels sleepy in class. And don't expect the university to conduct exams at regular times. I write my third and fourth sem exams with only one week gap. Passing was not that tough. Anyone with a calibre to learn self can score with good marks.

Internships Opportunities :

It is the first time an association with TATA company they are planning to do a campus placement. It has not happened yet, so I don't know more about it. The project is currently doing is about the Phytochemical properties of the leaf coleus zelyanicus. The time for doing projects will be a memorable time in college life.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

It cost about 1,17,000 only as course fees, this is the current course fee for the biochemistry undergraduate degree and it will be changed because when I got admission the college was NAAC B graded and now they re-accredited as NAAC A+. Therefore changes will happen to fees and campus recruitment. Children of government officers will not get any scholarships or financial assistance.

Campus Life :

There are many fests conducted by different departments in college throughout the year. Last year's college fest was conducted in the month of February. The college has an E-library and lots of books so the students can go to the library for more references. Each Classroom has a digital class and I haven't seen them in use. Sports and extracurricular activities are very less and most of the talented students are not able to participate because of the university's unplanned examinations. Literary and science clubs are there in the college but not that active.

Placement Experience:

BBA students got placements last year. But considering our department we were not given any placements yet. But our principal works to get something done for students. Usually, the college has a higher pass percentage in this area and is well-reputed for its academic function. I opt to do MSc. Microbiology in the same college after my B.Sc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Faculty members are average. We have almost 4 faculties to teach 22 students. Most of the faculties are postgraduates. The teaching method is not that good, you can score good marks if you have the calibre to study your own. Exams will never be on time.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I loved chemistry. The faculties in this college are really good and they give really brilliant classes, at least in the chemistry department. There is an adequate number of faculties in perfect ratio with the students. The faculties are extremely educated with many having qualifications of Ph.D., JRF, and PDF. The exams were a bit off time due to COVID but now it is normal. Exams are fairly easy to pass if you study at least at an average level.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because my father wanted me to become a doctor but I hated physics, chemistry, and mathematics. So I found the one course that has none of the above and has some touch with the medical field. I am planning to take a Ph.D. so I can achieve the Dr title for my father. The college is a long building with 3 floors and each floor is considered as a year the college offers 3yr courses like BBA, BA, Bsc, Bcom, etc. So 3 classrooms from 1yr 2yr 3yr are considered a department. So there are more than 2500 students in that college considering the size and capacity of the college its good. Most of the teachers are extremely friendly but there will always be that one teacher who will be hard on their students. Their teaching level is amazing but there are exceptions. You can write a letter to the principal if you have any trouble with that he will solve it instantly. The timing of the exams was terrible as we all know about Calicut University exam schedules but they were perfect for me

Curriculum include major Computer Science , Complimentary subjects such as Statistics and Maths , and common subjects such as English and preferred second languages ( Hindi , Malayalam, Sanskrit ). I chosed this course due to my passion in computer and the vast opportunities that awaits. The department includes a high end computer lab with experienced tutors. A class contains 33 students with approximately 10 boys and 23 girls . There are 4 teachers for tutoring the subject whom possess different style of effective teaching. A semester contains 2 internals, a lab, seminar, and projects. The seminar and projects helps us to get know the subject deeply .
