Remarks :
I tried to apply at various colleges for my BCA degree as I was most interested in that course and my current college i.e. DPG degree college provided the best experience and options and the fees were also low as compared to other universities or colleges. The eligibility for the course was also very simple and easy. I didn't have much time to directly visit the campus for admission or to complete my application process so I reached out to the staff at the college mail id the response time was quick and I got a call for admission. The staff was very kind and polite and they guided me through the application process I paid for the application form online and just like that my application process was completed. I even got a scholarship benefit and sent all my required documents through the mail. And after 15-20 days I got a mail about my classes schedule and all. For, I didn't face any problems, particularly regarding my admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was interested in the science and technology stuff, it always fascinated me how small things like the calculator to mobile phone work or how the application and games are built/coded so I decided that I want to do a course where I could learn all that. so I opted for BCA i.e. Bachelor in Computer Applications as the course eligibility was simple and easy. When I first attended the class, I felt that the staff was a bit short as there were 60-70 students in a class and the no. of teachers were fewer but they did cover that up within a month by dividing the class. The teacher was highly qualified in their respective fields and their teaching method was also quite flexible. The staff is polite and kind and the classrooms are spacious with screen projectors for the visual presentation of topics. Soon, the term exams for 1st semester came and the syllabus was quite easy to understand if paid attention in classes. So, passing exams was never an issue due to good teaching.
Placement Experience :
There are placements available but the salary package that is provided by them is not good enough. I mean you could a job at a much higher pay rate if searched properly. The students become eligible for campus placements after the end of 4th semester. I am still in 2nd semester so I am not so sure about all the details. But I have heard from the seniors and staff that there are quite a few companies that give a good offer to students. Personally, I don't think I would choose campus placements as I am currently working and gaining experience and after my course completion, I would apply/ search for jobs in my respected field and there are quite a few vacancies in companies out there for data analyst or for animation editor and I think I would do well in both the fields. So, for now, I am focussing on completing my degree and then searching for a job in a good company where I could utilize my knowledge and experience properly.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees were obviously much less than other universities out there and that also was my main point for taking admission to this college. Also, the payment options available were also quite good as I can pay using any payment method. Also, the fees are constant throughout the course so there is no concern for fee hikes at all. The books and notes are provided by the college library. Also at the time of admission, I was informed about the scholarship that was decided on your 10+2 results the scholarship amount was also quite high and so the overall admission amount was quite affordable for me.
Campus Life :
the annual fest is held at a very large scale inside the campus and is the name for the annual fest 2023 in Arpan. The annual festival is held mostly in January or February that is after the examinations so that the students can enjoy their time. The campus is divided into various blocks for different courses and the top floor is reserved for the library it's very quiet with a large variety of books and journals available and the process to borrow books is also quite simple and easy. Every week there are 3 days for sports or physical activities to maintain good health and there is a cafeteria inside the campus with affordable, tasty and healthy food available. One day per week is for workshops where we are taught various things by field professionals. There are club/ social groups available on most social websites like Linkedin, facebook and Instagram which are managed by students and can talk freely there.
