Remarks :
Admission happens in two ways one is by JEE Score and the other is by AEEE examination but before this, you should have a minimum of 75% score in your +2 class. You can apply for AEEE through the Amrita website (amrita.edu). Reservation is applicable for SC and ST category people and also through Local Reservation.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The main reason behind choosing this course is the interlink between computer science and the electrical department. Faculty is friendly which helps you to get more knowledge and also the classes are interactive which includes both smart classes and practical sessions. As ours is the 2nd batch of this course in college we were so less in strength compared to other branches. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. scholars in the particular field. There will be 1 mid-term examination and 1 Endsem including a Project which is of 65 internals and 35 Externals Pass or Fail depends on the student in my opinion it's not too easy to pass nor too tough to fail.
Placement Experience :
3rd year(6th sem) onwards you can sit for placements and there is a particular team for placement training on the campus from the 1st year onwards. Don't know the exact number but more than 50 companies have visited last year and most of the people get placed for placements and others has gone for higher studies.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Coming to Fee structure it depends on the AEEE or JEE Mains score where there will be 4 types of slabs and it varies according to it. I am a 3rd-year student coming to scholarships, to be honest, I do not have a piece of much knowledge about it.
Campus Life :
Fests are very less compared to other colleges. Our college celebrates Onam and Ugadi in grand. There is a technical Fest called Vidyut which was not happening for the past 2 years due to Covid. Our campus has a huge library. Classrooms are a bit small and also the campus is getting renovated now. Coming to Sports there is basket ball ground near campus and Badminton courts on Campus. But to be honest, sports have less priority on our Campus. There are many technical Clubs on Campus for example AmFOSS and Robotics Club.
