Remarks :

The course eligibility for the pg programme is min. Passing percentage of 50% in UG. You can fill out the application form on the college's official site. Reservation for Christians and for sc/st category There is an entrance exam to get admission to the college and the cut-off is 50%

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose MSc botany because the staff of botany is quite good in comparison to others. The total no. Of teachers are 7 and the students in each class 25. Every single teacher is a Doctorate The teaching methods of every teacher are different and three teachers are the best in every fields of knowledge The college is affiliated with DDU university Gorakhpur and they decide the exam schedule basically we have to give semester exams in every 5 to 6 months and mid-semester exams after 3 months after the class start date. The exam pattern is mcq type 80% and 20% descriptive and the difficulty level is from mid to high.

Placement Experience :

You can apply for placements in the last year of your course. The offers are not much. The highest package is 12 thousand per month. Because of such less salary, there are not many students who are interested in this. My plans after getting the degree are to pursue phd and after that apply for an assistant professor post.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee for the Msc programme is 7500 per year and there is a diploma course each year 7500 is inclusive of the diploma course The opportunity for the scholarship is 60-70% There is a placement programme in college every year they provide 7-10k salary per month

Campus Life :

The annual fest sports meet and everything is conducted from NOV-DEC and they're quite okay. The availability of books is average in the library. Amenity in the classroom is good. You can play basketball, cricket, and football in the college. You can join the NCC camp also. There are no such websites that are run by students.

Placement Experience:

I got a placement from the university but I had different plans for my future. The placement was not that much good due to the lockdown. As Biotechnology is a very wide field. If you want to get a good placement in this field you have to work on your skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is very flexible and core biochemistry is being taught here. In two semesters you have to take 1 MOOC in each semester of 2 credits. All courses are having an in-depth concept of biochemistry. Total 8 faculty 2 RLS fellows, total 55-60 m.sc. students are there in the department.
