Remarks :

To get into this college, a student have maths in his/her 12th class with more than 45% cpga in 12th boards. For application form, one must first visit the website or they can directly take the admission form from the administration department. For detailed information about the college fees and course structure one should visit the college. Admission process can be made easy by the college. Students who go for online admission, find difficulty during offline document verification and submission.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course, because RIMS is the only college which provides best cirriculum in BCA course in Rourkela. Faculty is overall good. Most of the teachers are well experienced. Most of the faculty have done masters in their respective subjects. Mostly all of them teach very well, except some teachers. Teachers always consider students as a newbie, so they teach from the root. Semester exms are conducted in every 6 months. Exams are not that much difficult. Average student can easily pass the examination.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The College dosent hike the fees always. It gets a hike only after a tenure of 5-10 years. Fees can be considered in Hostel and mess. Hostel fees get hike by 3k to 4k year. College conducts its own scholarship for the students. Students securing percentage in the exams get that much discount in the course fees. Mainly companies comes for master students.

Campus Life :

College conducts annual fest every year where they conduct a puja for all the students. Tech fest such as Hackathons and Entreprenuership fest are conducted. Winning students get prize. College has well libaray with sufficient and sitting space. Almost all the cirriculum books are available in the library. Smart Class and ac rooms are only for the master students. Sports such as Basketball, Volleyball, Cricket, Badmintion and other indoor games are conducted. Extra curricular activites like cltural fest are conducted. Collge has created culbs such as Python Club, Database Club, Cloud computing Club, and Ethical Hacking. Students can easily participate.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are well furnished. In hostel we are provided with bes, light, fan, wardrobe, water filter, table and chair. Meal quality is good but poor in taste. Mess people maintian hygiene but comprises with the taste. Each day different food are prepared. Three time meals are served. Non veg is served on Wed, Fri and Sunday. For registration one must visit the collge administration. Hostel is affordable in compare to PG.

RIMS Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I selected this course since RIMS is the only college in Rourkela that offers the best BCA course curriculum. Overall, the faculty is excellent. Most of the instructors have plenty of expertise. The majority of the faculty have master's degrees in their specialized fields. Apart from a few teachers, they all generally teach quite well. Instructors start teaching from the basics to advance. Examinations are way easier to pass. A good student can easily pass the examination.

From the fifth semester, students are eligible for placement. TCS, Reliance, Lalchnd, axis bank, Infosys, etc. companies are coming to the campus and 30-40 offers are offered. 80 percent of students got placed. I aim to become a data engineer.

I chooses this course because I was interested in core computer science and wanted to work as a software developer. At BGU there are highly qualified teachers who teach all the concepts in a very practical and intuitive way. They are making us Industry ready and job ready. Most of the faculty here have pursued Ph.D. Coming to exams and tests there are tests for practice and assignments are also given to the students and we have end-sem exams as well.
