MACE- celebrating its jubilee

Remarks :

I got my admission into this government college by attending Kerala Engineering Agriculture and Medical (KEAM) entrance exam. I was blessed with a great score and rank of 2369. Next, we applied for the desired course and college of our own choice. The cut-off for different categories varied in a great manner. Since I belonged to the general category the competition was high but still managed to get into one of the finest colleges in Kerala.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose Electronics and Communication since it broadened our limits from being both better at coding and hardware works. Some of my friends also guided me in making my choice. And also my college provided placements in mass from the ECE department. We have 4 mentors for 66 students. The department has almost 60 faculties and a few guest lectures too. Most of our faculties here graduated from IITs, and NITs and even we have our alumni as teachers. Every faculty here comes prepared with notes and ppts and provides timely help to all their students. We have two series of exams with a gap of one month. After a month we have our University exam. The exams are relatively tough.

Placement Experience :

Placements start when we enter the fifth semester of our academics. Some companies come with eligibility criteria considering a number of arrears whereas some just hunt for talents. The highest package until now is 10,00,000 and the lowest is 4,00000 per annum. Till now over 100 companies visited and almost 400 students are placed. Some students are placed at multiple companies. Since I have got a placement in one of the core companies that visited our campus(Kalki Communications Ltd.), I would go explore the next phase of the working community after graduation.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The annual tuition fee is 8000 for merit students and for even semesters we have registration fees of 3500 and for odd semesters we have registration fees of 5260. The scholarship provided by the college is the sc st scholarship, financial down students scholarship. I am placed in Kalki Communications.

Campus Life :

College life is something that none of the students should miss and my college is the best example for this. The annual tech fest of MACE is Takshak. It is a National level tech fest that includes helicopter, parachutes, auto Show named Telei and many other technology events , games and talks, workshops and so on. Sanskriti is the Annual cultural fest that showcases various talents of each of our campus clubs. Some are divaat- the fashion club, the dance and music club, debate club, netx, iedc club for entrepreneurs and various other clubs. We also have annual sports day with diverse events. We also go out to different colleges to participate in cultural and arts fest.

Hostel Facilities :

We have 3 people in one room and each person is provided with shelves to keep their things. Beds and proper ventilation are also provided. We have proper timings for food which keeps us healthy. They provide good and tasty food and also we have stores and ice cream, juices inside our hostel on sale.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I took BTech Mechanical engineering at Kushal because of its high placement ratio offered here and due to good academic facilities last etc. There will be around 10 Faculties available for each class and they are very helpful in our academic performance too. The teaching method is mainly by lectures and using the help of smart classrooms and which enable the students to improve their practical approach towards their syllabus. There are two internals in every semester and end semester exams are conducted timely and the results are published accordingly. While comparing to another university the syllabus of society says a little bit of thought it can be easily passed if you work academically your best.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a placement cell each year around 400 students get placed in different companies. With an average salary of 500000 per annum. From the third year's end onwards students can apply for this and they can attend the placement exams. After completing the course they will call and we can join the college. Some of the big companies like TCS, cognizant, burst, Mindtree, l and t etc visited our college for placement.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course is highly promising and has high demand in the academic market. It is a professional course and the job is assured. Exams are timely if only the lower semesters are considered. But for higher semesters, as exam time lags, so does their time of joining as well. Exams are difficult to pass due to poor grading system and less time scheduled for teaching.

From the fifth semester, the placement process will be started. most of the students will place at the end of the sixth semester. The placement process for the non-placed students will continue till the last semester. Many companies visited our campus and made the placement process. TCS, Cognizant, Ignitarium, and Mahindra are the major companies that visited our college for the placement process. almost 80 percent of the total students are placed in our college. My plan after this degree is to get a master's.

Placement Experience:

The placements at my college are very good, with more than 500 placements achieved last year. The main companies visiting for recruitment are TCS and Infosys, and there are reportedly many other companies as well. This is a positive sign, as it indicates that there are ample job opportunities available for graduates of my college. If a college does not offer campus placements, students may still be able to find employment after completing their studies through other means, such as networking, job searching on their own, or completing internships or other experiential learning opportunities. Some students may also choose to continue their education by pursuing advanced degrees. It is important for students to consider their long-term goals and plan accordingly in order to increase their employability after completing their studies

From the end of the 6th semester, students will get placement calls. There is a training and placement cell in our college. The placements are through this. Companies like Zoho, Keyvalue, Open financial technologies, Alpha Ori, Soti and others have visited our colleges and selected many students. The highest packest in this academic year is 11 LPA and the lowest is 4 LPA. But still, companies are approaching and students are getting offers. Almost all students got placed. My plan after getting my B. Tech is to work in a well-known IT company.
