Remarks :

To be eligible for admission to a master's one should have completed his bachelor's degree in agriculture discipline from a recognised university. The application form is available on the university website and the application fee ranges from 1000-1500. Application is available from 15 April onwards.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose the master's course in horticulture discipline cause of my great interest in it. The student-faculty ratio is quite good approx 3:1 for a master's degree The professors are highly qualified with unmatched experience in their respective research fields. The semester was almost timely and the difficulty level was moderate.

Internships Opportunities :

These are some avg offers made by companies last year Syngenta - 96000/yr Fnp- 78000 Zydec-70000 These are some of the major companies visiting the campus for internship offers. They provide internships to students on a merit basis.

Placement Experience :

For bachelor's degrees, placements start from the 7th semester onwards and for master's degree students it starts from the 3rd semester onwards. For a bachelor's degrees, students' avg package is 2lacs and for master's degree students it ranges from 2.5 lacs to 6.4 lacs per annum. Almost 75% of students get placed

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

If you are a low-maintenance guy then you can manage all your expenses along with fees within 1.2 lacs. There is numerous scholarship given on merit and eligibility basis. Most of the jobs are for research assistants @ Rs 25000 approx per month for MSc students

Campus Life :

The library is quite spacious with a good collection of books and journals. The classrooms are equipped with essential equipment. There are several extracurricular activities with an annual sports meet. There are student unions/clubs for recreation purposes
