Review to Assist Newbies.

Remarks :

The admission process was simple. We had our entrance test. And there was a minimum criterion of 50% in the 12th standard. The application form can be availed from the official website united.ac.in. Overall experience is nice.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course curriculum and faculty members both are good here. I chose B.Tech(CSE) because I wished to become a software engineer. The basic faculty: student ratio is 1:5. The faculty here are well qualified. They had Doctorate degrees and PHD holders. Their teaching method was brilliant, bringing in all the ways possible to make the topics easier to understand. There are 3 sessional exams in each semester. 2 are compulsory and 1 is optional. This made us prepare well for our semester examination.

Internships Opportunities :

There are many internships opportunity in the college. Many top companies including Infosys offered internships with stipends. Projects on Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Analysis were prepared to make our concepts clearer and hands-on projects were offered to work on.

Placement Experience :

Students from the 6-7th semester become eligible for placements. The campus placement companies include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Byju's, Cognizant, Mphasis etc. coming and mass hiring students. The highest package offered was 24 LPA. The average could be 6 LPA. 80-85% of students get placed easily at the end of their course. My plan after getting an engineering degree is to continue my job after campus placement and then pursue MBA.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fee structure is affordable for a student belonging to a middle-class family. There're many scholarship programs for high-rank achievers and also students who can't afford the fees. Campus placement is amazing. This is what we've been waiting for since the first year of the course. We're prepared well for the placements and offer high-profile jobs. I got selected by many companies which paid off really well.

Campus Life :

Life at the campus is fabulous as we get to learn a lot from our colleagues and faculty. There are major events such as Zest and other technical fest conducted in the month of April and another fest such as Enigma in November, wherein there are a lot of technical and other co-curricular activities/events organized. This makes our overall profile development in learning not only the course material but also focusing on other aspects of life.

Hostel Facilities :

There are separate hostels for girls and boys which have AC and Non-AC rooms available in there. The meal quality is good and healthy for students living there. Time schedule is good biologically. We have different menus for different days. The registration process is simple wherein you have to fill up the form and give the token amount initially to get the room booked. And then pay the hostel amount later. Overall the hostel fees are affordable including the facility it provides. We also have stationery and a xerox shop within the hostel premises. Also, safety is well assured.

From the 6th semester, students are applicable for campus placement. All big companies like Wipro, IBM, TCS, and many such companies come to our college and they also do mass recruitment. The highest package of last year was in amazon in AWS was around 30LPA. The placement percentage of students in CSE is around 95 percent. College students are eligible for campus placements after the fourth year. In campus placements, the necessary thing for a student is the skills and also the work experience. Companies prefer skills over knowledge.
