Course Curriculum Overview :

I CHOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE OF MY INTEREST IN PHYSICS SINCE 10TH. FACULTY-STUDENT RATIO DEPENDS ON THE BRANCH ( 1:10) TEACHERS ARE WELL-QUALIFIED IN THEIR RESPECTIVE FIELDS. ALL EXAMS WERE ON TIME DURING MY 4 YEARS AND NOT THAT DIFFICULT.

MANY COMPANIES VISIT THE CAMPUS FOR INTERNSHIP PURPOSES LIKE TISCO, ONGC, CUBATION, DELOITTE, PWD, ETC. ROLE OFFERED - PROJECT MANAGER, SOFTWARE DEVELOPER, SOFTWARE TESTER, BUSINESS ANALYST. WE HAVE TO COMPLETE ONE PROJECT IN THE FINAL YEAR WHICH IS CALLED BTP.

IN ALL BRANCHES IN 7TH SEM STUDENTS ARE ELIGIBLE FOR PLACEMENT. COMPANIES - GOOGLE, MICROSOFT, L&T, AMAZON, TCS, VEDANTA, INFOSYS, ETC. HIGHEST (PHYSICS BRANCH) - 1.2 CRORE. AVERAGE PACKAGE( PHYSICS BRANCH) - 21 LAKH ALMOST 90% GOT PLACEMENT IN MY BRANCH. I AM A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER IN INFOSYS.

IT DEPENDS ON THE ADMINISTRATION'S POLICY ABOUT FEE HIKES. COST TO STUDY - IF YOU HAVE A BACKGROUND IN THE ECONOMIC WEAKER SECTION THEN IT WOULD BE MINIMAL. ANNUAL FEST LIKE THOMSON (CULTURAL EVENT) HELD ANNUALLY. ONE OF THE BEST LIBRARIES I HAVE SEEN IN MY STUDENT LIFE(ENG BOOKS, SS BOOKS, MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPER). CLASSROOMS ARE WELL EQUIPPED WITH ALMOST ALL TYPES OF AMENITIES( DIGITAL BOARD, COMFORTABLE CHAIR, CAMERA, AC). THERE IS INFRASTRUCURE FOR ALMOST 20 TYPES OF GAMES(SNNOKER,CRICKET,VOLLEY BALL, FOOTBALL, CHESS)

Hostel Facilities :

THE HOSTEL LIFE OF IITR IS UNIMAGINABLE. FACILITIES THAT YOU WOULD GET IN THE ROOM SUCH AS A FAN, COOLER, TABLE, ALMIRAH, BED, ETC. MEAL QUALITY DEPEND ON HOSTEL TO HOSTEL. OVERALL QUITE GOOD. YOU HAVE TO REGISTER ONLY ONCE AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION. THERE ARE MANY PGS NEARBY IIT CAMPUS, ANYONE CAN VISIT AND SEARCH.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible after the 2nd year for summer internships and after 3rd year for campus placements. Many mass recruiters like Accenture, TCS, and Wipro come to the campus. High recruitment companies like adobe and Goldman Sachs also come to the college for the recruitment drive in the 3rd year. Though the percentage of students getting placed is less it was ranked better than IIT Roorkee last year, so yaa you can comprehend the following.
