Great college with great experience

Remarks :

There was a test that had to be cleared, that is, MET- Manipal Entrance Test. The course is eligible once you had opted science stream and can enrol on the course. The application form can be found on the website of the Manipal academy of higher education. There was a reservation in the name of sages where the students in and around udupi who has studied puc in specific colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The faculty-to-student ratio migt be around 1:15. Most of the faculties working here have done phD. The minimum qualification of the faculties is a master's in pharmacy. 70% of the faculties were phD qualified. The teaching method would be mainly via projector and sometimes will be on the board. the exams were conducted every quarter and 90% of the students qualify the exams with ease.

Placement Experience :

The placements start in the final year of college. M.pharm had pretty good placements than B.Pharm. students majorly plan to either do master in India or go abroad. The placements in B.pharm is minimum. The companies like Novartis, dr. reddy, Cipla, himalaya and mostly takes master students and almost 70% of the students get placement. The highest package would be around 10lpa and the average would be around 6 lpa.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

When I had taken admission in the year 2016, the fee was around 1,90,000 p.a, by now in 2022 it might have reached 2,40,000 per year. There were scholarship schemes for the Konkani-speaking people as the mother tongue and also for the ones whose parents had studied in any of the institutions under MAHE.

Campus Life :

The annual day happens in February. The events will be conducted now and then by inviting actors, stand-up comedians, singers, etc We have a huge library set up with a wide range of books and journals. The infrastructure and college in Manipal are spot on and the classrooms are well-equipped and air-conditioned. We have a humongous Indoor sports building with all the major sports facilities and a gymnasium. There is a social club called VSO which is run by the students and is a voluntary service organisation.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course to do something better in future that will helpful to society. Very less number of students joined me most of them left the course due to having backlogs in the exams. The teaching method is worst, they do even not see what the student doing in the classroom. Teachers just come and shoes PPT and go. There are 2-semester exams and 4 internal exams per year. It's too difficult to get passing marks.
