Good college but average placements

Remarks :

There are two exams one is comed-k for students out of Karnataka and the other one is kcet for state students. For getting computer science or information science one should have a 5-6k rank in comed-k. There are cutoff benefits but only for home-state students. yes, I want one improvement that they should give students from out of state also equal opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because this course has a higher chance of getting good placements. The faculty is quite good they help us to gain knowledge but they focus only on academics rather than giving us industrial knowledge. The facilities are well-qualified with masters and phds degrees. There are 3 internal exams and one final exam. If one studies well and the previous year's question papers it is easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities :

In the 5th semester, one company called target came and it was only for girls. For that company, there were Three rounds namely the coding round, aptitude test and debugging round. The girls who are having backlogs cannot give that tests. The selected girls then have to work with the target company and then will get jobs for 11 lahks per annum.

Placement Experience :

From 5th students are eligible for getting internships. On campus, there are not many companies visited and we can't depend just on campus placements for getting a good job. For getting higher packages one should practice coding thoroughly. People from the mechanical, and civil branches find it difficult to get jobs. The highest package is 44 lakh and the average package is 5 lakhs. Almost students from computer science, information science and electronics and communication get placed if they are not having any backlogs.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

There is a scholarship only for Karnataka students which is called ssp scholarship. With ssp scholarship, they can get at least 18k. The college is a little bit on the high side, it's not worth the money. The people from the home state pay only 80k per year where as people from outside the state have to pay 221000 per year. If you are from the computer science or information science department then it is easy to get a job but for people from other branches, it's difficult to get a high-paying job.

Campus Life :

The college has one big library which is well equipped with every kind of book. We can issue them easily from the library. There are many clubs like dance clubs, music clubs, debate clubs and coding clubs. There are mainly two fests verve fest and kalanjali fest. In college, they focus more on academics rather than extracurricular activities. There is not opportunity for sports.

Hostel Facilities :

In hostels, there are rooms with two sharing. The hostels are affordable and worth the money. The food is okayish but they maintain proper hygiene. They make mainly South Indian dishes. The registration process is simple just fill out the form and give all documents for verification.

Placements are excellent at BMSCE students get placed from the 5th semester onwards. Some companies which visit include Infosys, Intel, hp, Cisco, etc. The highest package will be 40 to 50 LPA each year and the average package is around 9lpa. In CSE the placements are almost 100% but considering all branches it's around 80%. I am planning to do a job after my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I wanted to be an engineer that's why I chose this course. Student 21 and teachers 12 it's the ratio. Teachers are very well qualified but lack the experience that's why teachers join our college to get some experience The teaching is good and smart classes are available. Sem exams are conducted after every 4 months and 3 internals are conducted. Its somewhat difficult to pass the exams, If you study a bit you can pass them.
