Inside Mewat Engineering college : A detailed exploration of campus life, academics and beyond.

Remarks :

Eligibility for this course is class 12th with 45 per cent in PCM. College conduct entrance examinations for admission as well but you can take admission in JEE marks as well as class 12th board marks. The improvement I want to see in the admission process is that I Think automation should be done in the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I choose this course because I am very fond of computers and mobile devices since my childhood and want to learn the work behind these smart gadgets. Overall faculty students ratio is good it is approximately 1:40. Most of the teachers are M.tech qualified from prestigious universities like Jamia and Aligarh and some PhD holders as well. As far as teaching is concerned, the overall methodology is good and don't expect some game changing scenarios. Most of the time, term exams happen in timely manner. Due to covid there was some sort of irregularities but now it is all good right now. Passing exams is not that much challenging if you have basic understanding of concepts and ability to apply them. Most of questions comes from previous year papers.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

Fees structure of B.tech at Mewat Engineering College is now increased by Rs 10000 a year and now it is Rs 50000 per year. So approximately 2 lakhs for a full course in any stream. Earlier students were getting minority scholarships but this year no one has received any type of scholarship till now. Earlier students had received Rs 30000 per year per student whose financial income is less than 2.5 lakh rupees.

Campus Life :

To be specific Annual Fest is not organised in this college but students celebrate Fresher's party with 1st-year students in a very exciting way by organising a lot of competitions and activities. In the central library, you will find a lot of books on different academic and non-academic topics as well, it is fully air-conditioned and if sometimes AC doesn't work they switch on the desert cooler. Talking about sports, the college organizes an annual sports day once a year and after that, it's pretty much on students how they want to continue further with their sports. Yes, some clubs are run by students but not in an organized or official manner but in a pretty unofficial manner. Overall everything is pretty good as compared to the fees of the college.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel facilities are of top-notch quality at this price as they charge only Rs 20000 for 6 months. The hostel mess provides food 3 times a day with nutritious meals that will satisfy both our minds and health. Sometimes the lunch seems a bit boring as 4 days they provide rice and pulses with different vegetables. Other than that for dinner, you experience luxurious food as you will be provided with chicken biryani, chicken korma, paneer and egg curry. The menus are planned to provide a balanced diet and cater to different dietary requirements. Apart from that the Rooms are very spacious, having functional furniture, Aesthetically pleasing, adequate lighting, having separate cupboards for every member of the room and moreover every room has a dedicated balcony. Furthermore, at max, only 3 students reside in a single room. So overall it is very affordable at this price as of you want to rent a room it will cost you more than Rs 6000 per month and even you will be having a lot of difficulties.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I got fewer marks in class 12 faculty and the teacher is to student ratio is 60 to 1, the faculties is good and the teaching method is specific to the book and the exams were held semesterly and it was very difficult to pass the exam.
