In order to do marine engineering course 60% in pcm and 50% in english is necessary. Till now addmision process is,same as before after filling the form you have to give manetcet exam then they will select you among all the students who gave the exams and then they will take a,mock interview on the basis of that they will select you .
Course Curriculum Overview :
In the 10th standard i saw a ship at the chennai port , as i went chennai for my work so i felt very intrested in that so i searched about the vessel so i get to know merchant navy is also,a carrer option for us and we can grow over here . In each division there are 30 students and for every subject we have seperate faculty ti teach us . All the faculty are well qualified and have the more than 10 years teaching experince and more than 20 years in the ship service. For passing the exams students needs to obtain 50 % in each and every subject.
Internships Opportunities :
Maersk offer training in the semester 8 as thoe who get placed in this company they go on ship after completing the semester 7 . At the last semester there is ttp project which is necessary for all cadets to make a model to clarify the task.
Placement Experience :
From the semester 4 or 5 placements starts and marine subjects are starts from mainly semester 4 only . Companies like Maersk, Bw maritime, seaspan, vships, mol, chevron and many visites every year to recruit students. Students should be all clear in every semester so they will choose top 20 or 30 as per the percentage level. I will be sailing till i become a successfull cheif engineer .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For the girls dg shipping give 1lakh rs every year and college give 25% consention if you are all clear in semester. Fees for each semester is worthy .approx fees is 1.5 lakh every semester. Most of the reputed company are come in the campus to recruit the students and they offer max 800 and min 400 dollars.
Campus Life :
Every year there is a fes namely Persona fest which conduct in the campus. All types and variety of books are available which will helped student to grow in this feild and in the exams too . There is a sports ground in which students can play several games and indoor also like table tennis , badminton etc. There is a instagram page of manet run by the one of the cadet.
Hostel Facilities :
In each and every class there is a projector situated which helped students to learn more easily and helped faculty to make cadets understand. Meal in the mess of manet is very good and hygine if we compare from many other universities all over pune. It is a residential course so student cant stay in pg or room . Manet provide a hostel every students stays over here only .
Interview Experience :
Topic were all from the 10th and 12 th which were taught in schools . They ask normal basic questions in the interview round at the time of addmission. I only read my 10th and 12th notes and it helped me a,lot at the time of interview .
