Eiffel Excellence Scholarship

The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship is awarded to the international students by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. The scholarship is awarded to the students who want to study abroad and are willing to take admission in France in any Ph.D. or Masters program.

All the students selected for the scholarship are awarded a financial aid of 1323 USD per month which results in a total amount of 15,873 USD per year.

The scholarship provides an opportunity for the people up to 30 years of age for the masters-level program and up to 35 years of age for the Ph.D. level program.

Eligibility Criteria

As per the eligibility criteria for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship, candidates are not supposed to fulfill any special requirement. However, candidates need to meet the basic eligibility criteria as defined by the scholarship awarding body:

The candidate must be an international student and submit a copy of the passport for verification.
Applications must be submitted via French education institutions. Any application submitted through other sources will not be entertained.
Applicants must be opting for a Master's level or Ph.D. program. Programs eligible for the scholarship:
- Political Science
- Law
- Economics and management
- Engineering Sciences

Terms and Conditions for Eiffel Excellence Scholarship Program

Applicants must not have already applied for any scholarship provided by the French government.
Students who are applying for the second time will not be entertained even if the institution and course are different.
Students should also have a basic knowledge of the French language.

Note: Students who got the scholarship at the Masters's level can re-apply for receiving the scholarship at a Ph.D. level.

Application Process

The applications for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship program are not accepted directly by the Students. All the applications from the students for the scholarship are to be submitted by the French Higher Education Institutions. Check more scholarships

Before applying for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship, applicants are advised to go through the below-mentioned points:

Students are supposed to contact the International relations department of the university via email, phone or website to know the deadlines.
Students are supposed to contact the French Embassy office or the Campus France office in their home country.
The respective French university supports the application form and helps the student in completing the form.
The application if finally send by the university on behalf of the student.

Selection Process

The selection process for the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship is carried out by a committee consisting of four panels of experts from the department of political science, law, engineering sciences, and management.

The members of the panels are not allowed to evaluate the applications form the institutions with which they are associated or affiliated.
Candidates are judged based on their academic performance as mentioned in their application forms.
The institution and the department of the candidates are also considered based on their contribution to promoting the Eiffel Excellence program.

Around 70% of the scholarships are offered to the candidates with outstanding academic performance and the rest 30% of scholarships are awarded to the candidates who have not received any scholarship.

Grant Details

The French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs founded the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship to attract bright international students to their Master's and Doctoral programs. A total number of 350 students are provided a scholarship every year under the Eiffel Excellence Scholarship program.
