My Short Journey at NUS

Course Curriculum :

I did Accounting and Finance from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and then I did Advanced Diploma from Trent College in Business Management and then I also did a Diploma in Biomedical Electronics and recently I got my certificate from NUS for Digital Marketing and Strategies. It was a short online course and it was ok. We were told to use stimuli to work on digital marketing. It is like a real-life situation but it is just a stimulus and we get certificate for it also so it was interesting. We got a lot of assignments and all.

Placement :

Salary is around SGD 4,000 and lots of scope and job opportunities in singapore for my course. Since Singapore is one of the major financial hubs in the world, there are tonnes of opportunities and prosperity for fresh graduates.

Internship :

Actually my school had to go a close down. Not my university but my private school that I was studying in after college due to eventual bankruptcy. So I had to give direct examinations to the British board and get my certificate approved so after that looking for a job using the certificate was a bit tough because I didn?t have any hands on experience. This is why I took up a job and they allowed me to do accounting so I could get my hands on experience.

Fees :

S$8560

Faculty :

The staff was very approachable. I believe how they approach you is about how you approach them so depends on how the person is approaching them. Whenever I approached them, they were very nice to me and they were very accommodating. I never had an accounting background so when I first studied accounting, I suffered quite a bit. My teacher actually went the extra mile to teach me literally like taking extra lessons, coming early to class just for me so that I can ask any questions. University experience was very nice. I enjoyed my university experience because my university, classmates, teachers and even the principal was very nice to me. He is currently the principal of Udemy, Mr. Ramesh. There were instances, I had to pay the fees and I coudn?t afford it on time so he would pay for me first and I will transfer it back and he would say don?t worry you will definitely do well. My teachers were also very supportive so like when they saw me they asked what?s wrong and when they realised I didn?t understand then they went the extra mile to teach me.

Campus Life :

Mine was a private university so there was not much facilities. There was just the bare minimum but they did have gym and all but it was in the hostel. Otherwise my immediate school had classrooms, projectors and all that. We performed all research using our own facilities online like our own computer and stuff. I joined scrabble competitions and chess competitions. I liked joining the computer club so I usually joined tech clubs but it was not part of the school.

Hostel :

I am in a university accommodation.
