University of Nottingham review

I was much impressed by the Master degree in Human Resources Management and Organisation at University of Nottingham because this is a CIPD approved course which would help me accelerate my future career. I have looked through the course module and found the subjects listed suitable for both my academic and career goal, as they portrait an outstanding combination of theoretical and practical knowledge. Moreover, University of Nottingham is a prestigious, highly ranked university, which provides great support for student in terms of creating a stimulating study environment and enhancing students’ employability.

Course Curriculum :

The course modules were suitable for both my academic and career goal, as they portrait an good combination of theoretical and practical knowledge. As a research-focused university, most of my work are heavily research-based.

Exams :

Undergraduate degree 2:1 (or international equivalent) in any discipline, IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in each element)

Placement :

There's a in-house careers team that helps you with your job finding journey. We can have CV/cover letter review, mock interview, mock tests, etc. There are also a Placement site that have many positions advertised throughout the year.

Events :

The Students' Union is the hub of student social life on campus. You can get involved with a wide range of activities including: societies, sports clubs, volunteering projects, student-run groups and networks events such as pub quizzes, live music, club nights, etc. The University has excellent facilities: lecture and seminar rooms to suit a variety of needs, as well as areas for individual or group study and places to relax when you aren't studying; access to podcasts, lecture recordings, Wi-Fi and a free laptop and iPad loan service; numerous libraries, and a huge number of resources, including print books, ebooks and journals.

Scholarship :

Yes, the Nottingham University Business School Scholarship, selected based on merit. I got a scholarship that's worth 50% tuition fee.

Faculty :

Our class has about 90 people. The faculty and staff are all very friendly and helpful, however process can be a little slow sometimes, but they are always very considerate. All of my professors and the Career service team were very nice.

Hostel :

I rented a room from Cotton Mills Student Accomodation. My room comprises of a private bedroom, heater and private en-suite shower room, bills fully inclusive. There is a shared Lounge/Kitchen area.
