Course Details

Named in the memory of Freedom Fighter Loknayak Jai Prakash Narayan, Jai Prakash University was established in 1990 by the Bihar Government.

Jai Prakash University is recognised by the UGC as a state university.
It has become member of the Association of Indian Universities, having Jurisdiction over the Saran division.
The university completed its 22 years. The university has 21 constituent colleges and 11 affiliated colleges, with a college of Engineering to be established soon.
The university is now among the largest and topmost universities in Bihar.

Currently, the University is inviting applications for Admission to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) course. This Program ensures to develop the necessary requirements of a teacher for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary stage.

The selection is based on the marks obtained in B.Ed. Entrance test conducted by the respective University. The Entrance test fee is Rs. 1000. The candidates have to make a demand draft of this amount in the favour of the University.

Intake:

There shall be a basic unit of 50 students, with a maximum of 2 units. The intake capacity can be modified as per nors and guidelines prescribed by NCTE time-to-time.

Jai Prakash University B.Ed Eligibility Criteria 2021

Candidate with at least 50% marks in the Graduation or Post graduation in Science/ Social Science/ Humanities/ Commerce are eligible to apply.
B.E. or B.Tech. with specialization in Science and mathematics with 55% marks are eligible.
Any other degree or qualification attended recognized by the academic council of recognized university equivalent there are eligible for the admission to the programme.
Though being selected for the admission, if a candidate fails to get admission in the notified time (Except the delay has been condoned by the competent authority for some valid reason), the applicant will not be admitted.

Jai Prakash University B.Ed Admission Selection Process 2021

This combined entrance test held for the B.Ed. Admission purpose comprises of 4 papers. 50 questions worth 2 marks each will be asked in each paper. 1 hour is given for each paper. So the entrance test will be of total 400 marks and the total time is 4 hours.

Topics of the 4 papers are:

General Knowledge: 50 x 2=100
Aptitude Test: 50 X 2=100
Languages: 50 x 2=100
Subject groups(Science/Arts/Commerce) : 50 x 2=100

There is a half an hour gap between Paper 1 and Paper 2 exam. After paper 2, there is an interval of 2 hours. Then paper 3 exam starts and there is again a gap of half an hour between paper 3 and paper 4.

Jai Prakash University B.Ed Course Duration & Course Fee 2021

The duration of the full time B.Ed. course is two years. The total fee is Rs. 95000. The fee structure is divided as follows:

Jai Prakash University B.Ed Admission Application Procedure 2021

For the Admission to B.Ed. course, the candidates have to submit the filled-in application form with attested copy of documents as specified in Entrance-cum-Admission Form. Application form for B.Ed. admission can be obtained from the University office/ Online/ Colleges.

The Application fee is Rs. 1000 as mentioned earlier.
