Likes
- The faculties at IIT Ropar are all well-qualified from the worlds best institutes, and they have years of experience in the field of teaching.
- If you possess skills above average in any field such as coding, graphic designing, and Photoshop, etc.
- Being one of Indias top engineering colleges, we expected good placement, and the college exceeded our expectations.
- The colleges complete course fee is around 9 lakh, but the return on investment is very good. The college meets the standards of placement set by IIT.
- Our college is the best among all of them because it has many clubs.
- Ceiling fan (No AC yet), cupboard, bed, window, hangers, and balcony (with a wonderful view of the campus) are provided in the hostel.
- The coding culture in our college is very good, and seniors interact with us from time to time.
Dislike
- The fee structure is that we have to pay 118,000 per semester, and there are some hostel and mess security charges which we had paid at the time of admission

Placement Experience:
For 5th sem. students can apply for internships through exams and interviews conducted by companies. The highest and average package offers are 70 lakhs and 18 lakhs respectively. Colleges have approx. 90 to 98 percent of students placed.
Remarks:
The student must come from the non-medical stream. Entrance to the college through an entrance exam JEE, which is conducted by NTA. It is conducted in 2 phases, 1st is JEE Main which is for NIT and 2nd round is for IIT which is JEE Advance. The benefits of reservations are: at the time of selecting the college through category rank, Students who have an annual income below 1lakh get 100% scholarship in tuition fees.
Placement Experience:
From the 7th semester, students are eligible to sit for campus placements. All the big companies you can think of, come to IIT Ropar. The highest package is around 70 Lacs and the average is around 15 lakhs. almost 80% of students got placed every year.
Remarks:
12th Pass and JEE advanced cleared under 10000 rank for the general category. The application form is available on the NTA website, Application fees were around 1500 for JEE mains and 1000 for JEE ADVANCED. They Should increase the number of seats.
Course Curriculum Overview:
There is one minor and one major, there are quizzes too. Usually grading is up to professors individually. Exams are neither too easy nor too hard to pass. Being an IIT, one can't expect the exams to be too easy either
