IIT Kanpur Placements 2023 Report

IIT Kanpur placement 2023 started on December 01, 2023, and ended on December 15, 2023. On day 1 itself, IIT Kanpur secured its highest package of INR 1.9 CPA and more than 33 offers made had a package above 1 CPA. A total of 519 offers were made on day 1 and a total of 488 offers were accepted, including 207 PPOs.

By the end of Day 4 of the 2023 placement drive, a total of 157 companies visited till now, and the total number of jobs secured was 836, including the 207 PPOs offered by both national and international companies. On day 4 a total of 682 offers were made and IIT Kanpur also received 74 international offers.

On Day 5, a total of 770 job offers were made from 181 national and international companies. By the end of Day 5, a total of 918 students have secured jobs including the 207 PPOs from national and international companies

Placement Experience:

We get internship offers from 2nd year and probably some get placed there and most of the placement process starts in 4th year. Packagers were great I think the average was around 25 lakhs for CSE last year.

Internships Opportunities:

Google, Apple, Samsung, Microsoft, and many other companies offer internships in fact some are paid ones. The project involved was mostly relatable to our courses taught in it so it was not that difficult.

True reality!!

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placement at the start of 4th yr after 6th semester though they would have to join the company at the end of 4th year. There are around 230 companies visited this yr and almost 90% of the total students got placed. So the highest package was 4.3 crore which is the highest ever in all IITs. The average package was around 20 lakhs. My plan is to join a consulting company and look for a future there. Though I am exploring more and I can change it if I find some other field more interesting.

Internships Opportunities:

Being a student of IIT Kanpur, I can tell what exactly is the condition of placement and internship in our college which is not at all what it seems from the outside. This year many intern companies including jg morgan, Stanlee, quant, tcs visited and asked for skills in coding, consulting, finance & analytics.
