Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
Regular Entry :
Candidate must have passed 10 + 2 in Science from the recognized board of Education.
Lateral Entry:
A candidate must have passed the three years Diploma in Engineering of State Board of Technical Education from an AICTE approved institution in the appropriate branch of engineering/technology in aggregate of all semesters. OR
A candidate must have passed the three years B.Sc. Degree from a recognized university and should have passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
Entrance Exam:
Candidates must qualify one of the following entrance test- JEE/ UKSEE

UTU B.Tech. Eligibility Criteria
- For admission to B.Tech. course, 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, & Mathematics.
- In the case of Lateral Entry, a student must have completed three years Diploma in Engineering of State Board of Technical Education OR Completed three years B.Sc. degree from a recognized university with 10+2 with Mathematics.
UTU B.Tech. Selection Criteria
- All seats of B.Tech. are filled as per the norms of the State Government and on the basis of merit in JEE.
- Admission to B.Tech, 2nd Year is based on the inter-se merit of Uttarakhand State Entrance Examination (UKSEE) conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the month of April-June.
- A merit list will be prepared based on marks and scores. Qualifying students will have to appear for the counselling.
