Cognitive scientists and biologists want to understand how the minds and brains of animals work, how they evolved, and what they can tell us about the human mind and brain.
Through the School of Cognitive Science, animal science students can take courses in general animal behavior, animal cognition, communication, and evolution. Students also can investigate anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, ecology, and other related fields in the School of Natural Science.
For hands-on experiences with animals, students across the College are encouraged to spend time at theÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â Hampshire Farm Center, interacting with sheep, goats, and llamas.

To be eligible to apply as a first-year student you must have received, or be on track to receive, a high school diploma or high school equivalency and must be 17 years of age or older at the time of enrollment.
College coursework completed during high school often counts towards advanced standing and possibly an accelerated timeline towards graduation. If you have completed more than 15 transferable college credits, you are eligible to apply as a transfer student.
