McMaster has been a widely renowned name. I was looking to pursue health informatics to get that technical exposure apart from the rich management background I possess. First of all the program is really reasonable and light on your pocket, plethora of programs available apart from mine, the culture entailed by McMaster University has been impressive, with amazing faculties, student resources and there is help all around you. eHealth particularly helps me keep my management background and an integration of three disciplines of engineering, management and health sciences makes it a unique choice with an 8-month hands on co-op!

Course Curriculum :

The Curriculum is amazing, you have to complete 4 core courses and then according to your liking you can go for 4 electives to help you specialise in a particular domain like project management, data analytics, consulting, etc. The academics have been great, fast paced and interactive. Lots of practicalities help you learn and retain more.

Exams :

GRE: Year 2019 - 162 Quant 149 Verbal 4 AWA IELTS: Year 2020 - L 9.0, R 8.5, W 8.0, S 7.0, Overall 8.0

Placement :

Students are bolstered by a relationship manager specially appointed in the department to help students find great jobs. All alumni have access to the careers page where full time opportunities are made available, appointments can be booked for counseling, resume building and enhancement and cover letters.

Internship :

Yes, 8-month co-op at William Osler Health System as a Project Analyst, in Brampton, Ontario. The stipend amount is 21$ per hour. The co-op process is well guided by the career coordinator and with comprehensive services and guidance to assist with the process.

Fees :

Roughly 32500$ for 20 months

Scholarship :

Graduate Entrance Scholarship - 3000$ for the first year only. No application; selected students get this consideration during application process.

Faculty :

The ratio is generally 1:35 for our cohort. The faculties are very much approachable during office hours or even with email queries. Very knowledgeable and fun-loving, they know how to create that perfect atmosphere for learning. They test you and improve you at the same time. It's been a delight up until now.

Campus Life :

The campus is humongous with all the infrastructural amenities you'd expect, library is a total wonder with all the knowledge of the world in one place. Research has been McMaster's strong point and the University is still striving hard to achieve even more. Study rooms, recreational areas, WiFi facilities are also systematic and organized.

Hostel :

Student accommodation; off campus, 500$ per month with all utilities you would need. Proximity to McMaster is the most important thing to look out for. Rooms are individual and amenities are mostly shared. Landlords are very hospitable.
