What I think of McMaster University

7.8 /10

I thought the campus was really beautiful. Additionally, it was very close to my family while still being out of the city. I enjoyed the academic standing the school holds. Additionally, I had heard good things about the political science program.

Course Curriculum :

I really enjoy the course curriculum. I believe it challenges me and helps me be a better student. I enjoy the readings, as well as the assignments that are within the course curriculum. The courses are relevant to the program.

Fees :

I'm not too sure about what the fee structure is - I just pay it. I know a lot of my tuition goes to paying subsidies for clubs, but this doesn't bother me too much. It was definitely more expensive in the first year when I was paying for residence and a mandatory meal plan.

Examination Structure :

I would just describe it as alright. There are some allowances that can be made if you are given a very poor schedule. However, there are other times when you still have a very high-stress schedule, but you aren't given accommodations. Last winter I wrote five exams in four days.

Faculty :

I think they are very smart and well-informed. Useful, for the most part. Some of them are pretty low-quality in terms of their ability to convey the main points, but for the most part, very good.
