International student Diary

I chose to go to Algonquin because I was from out of the city and I had family there so I moved here to study and live. I don't plan to leave after school unless I chose to study outside of Algonquin.

Course Curriculum :

It's fair, could be more current and updated as well it could just have better content quality in classes that is more current as well. Sometimes it shows that the teachers don't know the content as well.

Fees :

I personally received OSAP in the form of grants to help pay for my tuition and the rest was paid fully out of pocket. I did not pay an overwhelming amount of attention to what I was paying into and was sometimes surprised when I found out I had already paid for something (ie. printing).

Examination Structure :

The exam structure in my course specifically is quite relaxed in the sense that the actual final exam is almost exclusively done in the final class instead of exam rooms. This is nice for us, I'm not sure about others at the school.

Faculty :

The faculty of the college is good and approachable, sometimes they talk about their hours and issues as teachers which is alright but at the same time, they are people also.
