Georgian College Alumni

DA
9.0 /10

The school was Close to home, has a great reputation for my program along with wonderful teachers and my past family members are alumni so I wanted to keep the legacy going. I applied to 3 colleges for all the same program but I needed to be close to home and it was the best choice. It also wasn't hard on students who had low grades in high school because I used to be. 50's student and now I was a 90's. So it helped out my confidence.

Course Curriculum :

It is a wonderful curriculum

Exams :

This program is great to join because it teaches you all the aspects needed to know for the hotel and resort industry. It's very knowledgeable and includes some very important details about the industry. It is easy to get into but takes a lot of work and time to get through. The tests are fairly easy as they are multiple-choice but they also do take some thought.

Placement :

.

Internship :

.

Fees :

my tuition fee was $2100 per semester. I did not get any scholarship or loans but there are many that can be located on the website. I did receive an award that was nominated by my faculty which awarded me $500 towards my tuition. But there was also a bursary I received from the school. All of these other options are wonderful for students who have a hard time getting osap.

Scholarship :

I did not recieve any financial aid or scholarship

Examination Structure :

The exam structure is very strict. No cellphones, desks separated, no talking. Most of the exams I took were multiple choice or long answer math questions in financials.

Faculty :

the faculty at Georgian is absolutely amazing. they are very helpful and are a friend, therapist, and teacher all in one. They want to see their students succeed and will help however they can, academically or personally. This is a great college for wonderful teachers.

Hostel :

I lived at home to save costs but I know most people don't have that option. A few people I know preferred to live in off-campus housing as it was cheaper and more freeing than the on-campus. There is more freedom to have a social life than on campus.
