Aspirants looking for admission in at Government Medical College, Bhavnagar are required to apply through online and offline mode. Here are the steps to apply:

• Candidates have to download the form from the official website of the institute.
• Candidate can also obtain the form from the college office.
• Fill it up and send it with attested copies of required documents to the college along with demand draft of the application fees.
• Candidates are required to send 3 recent coloured passport size photograph in the size of 3.5x4.5cm along with form.

Note:

• Candidates who want to avail the reservation facilities under SC/ST/OBC/OH quota are required to enclose the self-attested photocopy of their SC/ST/OBC/OH certificate issued by competent authority in the prescribed format.
• In addition to this, OBC candidates has to furnish a declaration that he/she does not belong to the creamy layer of the society.
• Candidates from the creamy layer and do not come under Central list are advised to mention their category as General.
• It is mandatory for candidates to report at the college for the verification of his/her mark sheets and certificates, failing to which his/her candidature will be cancelled.
• Candidates have to be present in-person during the document verification.
• Admission will be cancelled if it is in contravention of College Regulations and any rules framed by the college authority, or for any falsification of facts on the part of the candidate, even though detected afterwards.

Bhavnagar Medical College Selection Process 2022

On the basis of NEET UG/PG scores, a merit list of NEET UG/PG will be prepared.

• As per the rank, NEET UG/PG counselling is conducted by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), for 50% All India Quota seats reserved for all government medical and dental colleges in India.
• The remaining 50% state quota seats will be filled through common counselling conducted by designated authority of respective states.
• Candidates whose names are forwarded by DGHS, after counselling, are required to report to the Director, Government Medical College, Bhavnagar.
• The Director of GMC, Bhavnagar will verify the documents.
• After his satisfaction, he shall direct candidates to deposit all required fees etc., immediately.
• The original certificates submitted shall not be returned to the candidates till the course is completed.
• Service holders will have to apply for study leave and are required to produce the orders wherein such leave has been sanctioned to them, from the competent authority within three months of joining the course.
