National Institute of Nutrition is an autonomous institute which was founded in 1918 by Sir Robert McCarrison laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. The institute was set up with the mission to enable food and nutrition security conducive to good health, growth, and development and to increase productivity through dedicated research.

National Institute of Nutrition offers studies in M.Sc. (Applied Nutrition), Post-Graduate Certificate Course in Nutrition and Annual Training Course on Endocrinological Techniques and their Application. All the courses are affiliated Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.

  • Candidates with MBBS or M.Sc. (Biochemistry) may apply for Annual Training Course.
  • Students of the final year of Bachelor’s degree may also apply for the admission only if they produce the proof of completion of graduation.
  • Admission to M.Sc. (Applied Nutrition) is based on entrance exam and counselling.
  • Only Government or Non-Government or Private candidates are eligible to apply for the courses.

National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad M.Sc. Admission 2023

The Institute offers admission in M.Sc. program in Applied Nutrition, ten weeks Post-Graduation Certificate in Nutrition and seven weeks Annual Training Course Endocrinological Techniques and their Application based on qualification of basic eligibility.

The minimum eligibility to apply for M.Sc. Applied Nutrition and PG Certificate Nutrition is having passed MBBS or a Master’s Degree in Science, while to be eligible for Annual Training Course in Endocrinological Techniques and their Application, candidate needs to pass in MBBS or M.Sc. (Biochemistry).

The final selection of candidate in M.Sc. will be based on the scores in academic performance, entrance exam scores, interview, and work experience. Admission to certificate and training courses will be based on merit in the qualifying examination.

Students applying for any program by National Institute of Nutrition must visit its official website to complete the application process online. However, candidates will have to appear in AP-PGMET entrance exam before registering themselves for admissions to M.Sc. course. Applications for the admission to the courses can be submitted only through offline mode.

For admission to M.Sc:
