Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences (NTRUHS) is a state university in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. NTRUHS was established in 1986 and is named for Dr Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, a former chief minister of the state of Andhra Pradesh. The Government of Andhra Pradesh renamed Dr NTR University of Health Sciences as “Dr YSR University of Health Sciences” on October 28, 2022. This state university has received recognition from a number of statutory authorities, including the Indian Nursing Council(INC), Central Council of Homeopathy (CCH), Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), and Medical Council of India (MCI).
