NTRUHS provides a Master’s degree in dentistry commonly known as MDS in various specializations such as MDS (Con. Dentist & Endodontics), MDS (Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery), MDS (Oral Pathology & Microbiology), MDS (Prosthodontics), etc. The minimum eligibility for admission to MDS at Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences is that the applicant shall have completed MBBS/BDS degree. NTRUHS MDS Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants shall have completed a BDS degree from a Medical College/ University recognized by the Government of India.
  • Any applicants completing the internship shall submit the internship completion subject.
  • Foreign applicants are eligible if they have obtained permanent registration from MCI (Medical Council of India) or any state medical board after completing the internship.

NTRUHS MDS Admission Guidelines

  • Applicants have to register officially for the NEET MDS exam.
  • Applicants have to visit the official website of NBE. Now, applicants have to click on “NEET MDS”.
  • New users will click on “new registration” and proceed by completing all the required details (name of the candidate, date of birth, gender, mobile number, and email- address).
  • Proceed by clicking on “submit”. For subsequent log in applicants have to go through registered email ID and password.
  • Now applicants have to complete all the details of the application form. First, the personal details have to be filled followed by completing all the academic details, internship details, and SDC/DCI registration details. Click on “save and next”.
    Applicants have to select the center for examination preferences.
  • Now choose the mode of payment for NEET MDS and pay the required fee amount (?3500 for OC & BC applicants and ?3000 for SC/ST applicants).
  • Applicants can save and print the fee receipt and take a print of the application form.
  • For applying at Dr. N.T.R University of Health Sciences applicants have to visit the official website of the college http://ntruhs.ap.nic.in and check the prospectus and instructions for filling the application form for counseling rounds.
  • Admit card of NEET MDS & scorecard of NEET MDS will be required during the form fill up.

Dissertation: The dissertation work shall be submitted 6 months before the MDS final exam. Every student has to submit 4 copies of the dissertation project.

Scheme of examination:

  1. Written examination- The written exam will be of 4 papers. Out of which 2 will be of specialty and 1 will apply basic sciences and the last one will be an essay. The duration of the exam will be 3 hours.
  2. Practical/clinical examination- It should aim at examining clinical skills and competence of undertaking independent work as a specialist.
  3. Viva-voce examination- This aims It should aim at examining clinical skills and competence of undertaking independent work as a specialist.
