Bhagwant Institute of Technology (BIT) was established in 1999. The institute is located in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. BIT offers B.Tech, BBA and BCA at UG level. At PG level, M.Tech, MCA and MBA courses are offered.
The institute also offers three-year polytechnic courses. Additionally, the institute offers lateral entry to MCA, B.Tech and Polytechnic courses.
BIT is affiliated to three Universities for different courses:
Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (AKTU): For B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, MCA and courses.
Board of Technical Education, Lucknow (BTE): For Polytechnic course.
Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut (CCSU): For BBA and BCA courses.For all the courses students have to apply through online mode.
- 85% seats in B.Tech, B.Tech (lateral entry), MBA, MCA and MCA (Lateral Entry) courses are to be filled through UPSEE.
- Rest 15% seats are to be filled through candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination.
- Selection to M.Tech course is done on the basis of University entrance exam or GATE.
- For other courses admission is on the basis of qualifying exam.
- Mandatorily not more than 25% seats should be allotted to candidates from other states.

Selection to 85% seats in five disciplines of B.Tech offered by Bhagwant Institute of Technology (BIT), is through UPSEE entrance exam. Candidates have to appear for Paper 1 for B.Tech course and Paper 6 or 8 for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) course in UPSEE.
Candidates applying for B.Tech course should have passed HSC in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry as subjects with at least 50% marks. Minimum eligibility for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) course is B.Sc or three-year diploma with at least 60% marks.

Key Points fofr B.Tech Admission:
- 15% seats are filled on the basis of qualifying exam.
- 10% seats are allotted to other state candidates on the basis of UPSEE merit.
- Paper 1 of UPSEE for B.Tech consists of 150 questions for 300 marks.
- For B.Tech lateral entry course, the students belonging to the B.Sc. stream shall be considered only after filling the seats with students of Diploma stream.

Admission to the UG and Polytechnic courses offered by Bhagwant Institute of Technology is done on the basis of qualifying examination.
Minimum eligibility for admission to BBA and BCA is that candidate should have passed HSC with at least 45% marks. For Polytechnic in technical courses of Mechanical (Production) and Civil candidate should have passed tenth class with science subject.

Bhagwant Institute of Technology offers M.Tech in four disciplines. Minimum eligibility for admission to M.Tech course is B.E./ B.Tech course with at least 60% marks. MCA/ M.Sc passed candidates are also eligible.
Selection to M.Tech course is on the basis of University entrance exam (UPSEE). GATE qualified candidates can also apply.

For admission to MBA and MCA candidates should have done graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks. Additionally, for MCA candidates should also have Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level.
Candidates applying for 2nd year MCA (Lateral Entry) course should have passed either BCA or B.Sc (IT/CS) with at least 50% marks.
Selection is on the basis of UPSEE. For MBA, MCA and MCA (Lateral Entry) course candidates have to sit for paper 9, 10 and 11 respectively.

Bhagwant Institute of Technology (BIT) Muzaffarnagar offers offline mode of application.
- Candidates can either download the application form from the website or collect the same from admission centers.
- Fill all the details correctly and send it to the office via post.
- All necessary enclosures and DD for INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST/PD/Females Candidate) drawn in favor of ‘Bhagwant Institute of Technology’, payable at Kaithora should be sent along with application form to The Admission coordinator Bhagwant Institute of Technology (UP).
- An acknowledgement will be sent via email upon receiving the application.
For UPSEE
Following are the steps to apply online for UPSEE:
- Visit the website of UPSEE.
- Click the link UPSEE-UG for B.Tech and B.Tech lateral entry course and UPSEE PG for MBA and MCA course.
- Fill the application form.
- Pay application fees of INR 1200 (INR 600 for SC/ ST/PH and women candidates) through Credit/debit Card/ Net Banking.
BIT Muzaffarnagar Reservation 2023
- 5% of the approved intake in each course, which will be over and above of the sanctioned intake are reserved as TFW seats.
- Benefits of reservation is only for residents of UP.
- Weightage of 3% of the total marks obtained in UPSEE will be given to such UP candidates for B.Tech course, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution situated in rural area of Uttar Pradesh.
