For B.Tech programs, Students are admitted through the merit in Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Exam (UPSEE) followed by a state level counselling. The exam is held in the third week of April and the results are generally announced in the next month.
70% seats are reserved seats and 30% seats are considered as open seats.
50% of the reserved seats (Out of total 70%) belong to the reserved categories as notified by the Government of India.

Ideal Institute of Technology, Ghaziabad offers B.Tech and B.Arch programs in various specializations. To apply for the B.Tech program, candidates need to pass 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized Board with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST candidates) in Physics, Math and Chemistry/ Drawing/ Biology together. The vacant seats in B.Tech courses after UPSEE counselling for Lateral Entry (second Year) will be filled within 15 days of the last date of counselling at the institute level, initially, by the qualified candidate of UPSEE.

The institute offers MBA and MCA programs in various streams. MCA program requires a three-year Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university with minimum 55% (50% for SC/ST) marks in aggregate and must have passed 10+2 level examination with Mathematics.

The relative merit will be decided based on an aggregate of marks in graduation under 10+2+3 pattern with 50% marks and Math at 10+2 level with a valid UPSEE NIMCET score.
