Is MAIT Delhi a good college to study CS? What are the placement stats? How good is the crowd there?

When it comes to MAIT, it may not have the same coding environment as other colleges like MSIT or BVP. However, it is important to note that things are changing at MAIT, and there are opportunities for students to participate in coding competitions, Hackathons, Competitive Programming, Open Source, and more. Availability of professors with research backgrounds is limited, and more could be done to expand opportunities for serious project work. The course curriculum at MAIT and IPU is outdated and may include subjects that are not directly relevant to CSE students. Placements at MAIT are strong, with companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, and Accenture visiting the campus. More than 80% of students get placed, with some students receiving offers as high as 42 LPA from Microsoft. It's important to note that many placements listed by others also include off-campus opportunities obtained through individual skills and efforts. CS and IT students shouldn't have to worry about the crowd, especially if in the first shift, as the current boys to girl ratio in IT is approximately 2:1.

USICT average package? Is it better than mait and igdtuw?

USICT has a good placement record. Some of the major recruiters at the institute are Nagarro, Impetus, Infogain, Infosys, Winsol, etc. And there are some companies that include Cognizant, TechMahindra that invite sit-in pool placements. Other than that, one of the good things about USICT is that almost every student got placed from the CSE and IT departments. Here is a brief highlight of the recent placement statistics at these institutes. How is the placement of ECE at MAIT IPU?

One of my cousins is an ECE graduate of BVCOE (IPU). Here are her two cents about the placement at the institute. Placement records of MAIT IPU are quite good. However, it depends on whether you want to pursue a core ECE job or an IT job focused on programming. It means, obtaining a core ECE job would be quite difficult because there is little to no company that would offer a core job on the campus placement. Although, if you are looking for placement in an IT company, then your chances of acquiring a good placement are fairly on the positive side. More essentially, nearly everyone gets a placement, if they are from the background of CSE, IT, or ECE branch. It is because they are usually considered more competent to fit in IT firms such as TCS, Infosys, and several others. The average package has been recorded to 3.50 LPA whereas the highest salary is 28 LPA. Thus, if you have scored 70% or above with no backlog history, then the chances of you obtaining a job in any IT company are good. In addition, if you are good with programming, then your chances of getting placed in top IT companies will considerably be more.

How is the placement of EEE at MAIT?

The placement for Electrical and Electronics Engineering at MAIT is almost similar to that of other mediocre colleges in India. I have some friends at MAIT and here is some information that I gathered from them. m For students in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, quite a less number of core electrical or electronic companies visit the campus for placement. Most of the students in the EEE branch are placed in service-based IT companies only, as like most other private engineering colleges of the same tier. Accenture and Infosys are two mass recruiters in the institute for these circuital branches. There are some companies who recruit specific technical students from specific branches only like mechanical, civil, etc. They usually don’t allow students from EEE to sit for their recruitment drives. The faculty is MAIT is decent and helpful. So, if you are genuinely interested in the subject of electrical and electronics then you can opt for the degree. But, placements are not that satisfactory due to the lack of core company jobs in the EEE branch. Overall, the placement of EEE at MAIT is average.

Which one is better for CSE MAIT, MSIT, BVP or Thapar University in terms of packages and quality of education?

NIRF has ranked MAIT, MSIT, BVP, and Thapar University in 251, 263, 98, and 29 in India. MAIT, MSIT, BVP offer a BTech program in CSE whereas Thapar offers a BE program for the same. Admission & Cutoff: For admission in the CSE branch at MAIT, one has to secure a place in the top 500 ranks in the IPU CET exam or must have JEE Main rank falling under 27,611. MSIT demands IPU CET rank under 1000 and JEE main ranking under 39,497 for the CSE branch. In BVP students should have MHT CET below 300 and JEE mains rank under 80,000 to secure a place in CSE. To get admitted to the CSE branch at Thapar university, one must have a JEE main Ranking under 25,000. Placement statistics: MAIT (IPU): 150+ companies participate in the recruitment process every year. Top recruiters include Amazon, Expedia, IBM, TCS, Accolite. 80% of the students get placed at top companies with an average salary of 4.95 LPA. The highest domestic CTC offered to the CSE branch was 28 LPA by Amazon in 2019. MSIT: MSIT has a placement rate of 90% for CSE. Around 200 companies participate in the recruitment process every year. Top recruiters are Amazon, JP Morgan, Infosys, HDFC bank. The highest domestic CTC offered to CSE students was 29.97 LPA and the average CTC offered was 4.5 LPA in the last placement drive. BVP: Around 150 companies take part in the recruitment process including TCS, Zensar, Varroc, Infosys. Highest CTC offered in 2019 for the CSE branch was 34 LPA. The average CTC offered on campus is 5.5 LPA. Thapar University: CSE department holds the record of maximum students being placed every year in MAIT. 282 companies visited the campus for recruitment in 2019. Top recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, DE Shaw, JP Morgan, and Infosys. Highest CTC offered was 43 LPA and the average CTC offered during campus recruitment-2019 was 7.2 LPA. All four Universities offer quality education with decent placement for CSE. Go through the facts mentioned above and choose the institute according to your convenience.

Which would be better, PEC 'Civil' or MAIT (IPU) 'CSE' keeping in mind the placement scenario and exposure?

Civil engineering is one of the major B.tech. Degree, provided by the Punjab Engineering College.Admission to the four-year program is made on the basis of marks scored by the candidate in Jee Main(Joint Entrance Exam Main). In 2019, 42 companies visited the campusand 808 students were placed on campus. For the session 2017 – 2018, 679 students were placed, out of which the CSE branch had the most students being placed. The highest package offered is around 28LPAwhilethe average package offered is around 3.5LPA. There is no attendance issue inMAIT which provides the students withample amount oftime to work ontheirskills.

Can MAIT be your dream college

Placement Experience:

Placements are offered to students from the 6th arm onwards. The college tries to place every student on its end, trying to bring max no of companies in placement drives. Some of the top companies include Amazon, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, etc. They provide a decent no of packages. The highest on-campus package I have seen is 37 lakhs from Amazon. The average package would be 5-6 lakhs which includes all the courses. Though you are likely to get 9-10 lakhs if you are from IT streams. Almost all students of IT and CS streams get placed but the problem comes in core branches where the percentage drops down to 60-70%. My plans after getting the degree are to get a decent package and then prepare side by side for govt exams.

Internships Opportunities:

Our college starts providing internships as early as in the 4th sem. Some of the companies which provide internships include Newgen, Infosys etc. Their average package may vary from 20-40k. Our college tries it's best to provide internships to all potential students. With some hard work you can get internships. The internship may also include pre placement offer.

MAIT is Great !!! - if you work hard enough

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when campus recruitments begin. companies like Samsung, TCS, and Adobe visit every year to recruit students. the highest package as per knowledge has gone up to 50 lacs and the average package is approximately 14-15 lacs. placement rate is 80-85%. Placement Experience:

The 7th sem is when placement recruitments begin, a lot of companies visit for recruitment, and the placement rate is 89-90%. The highest on-campus package as per my knowledge has gone up to 42 lacs. I plan to get a job after getting the degree and grow professionally year after year.

Internships Opportunities:

Since I am personally not involved in any particular internships as of now I cannot specifically give details regarding the same, but I'm sure that there are a whole lot of internship opportunities offered by our college.

Placement Experience:

From the 6th semester, students become eligible for campus placement. Microsoft, Atlassian many more companies visit the placement. Microsoft takes about 10 students on 34 lakhs. And 16 students on 16 lakhs. About 80 per cent of students get placed. I want to do M.tech from a good University.

Internships Opportunities:

Internships are there but do not know the stipend one. As I am in 2nd semester I do not know about the project etc. The internship scenario is getting good year by year. Seniors are not so good in terms of the organisation of the fest.

Placement Experience:

The placements at MAIT are quite good. Many companies like Amazon and Microsoft visit the MAIT campus. Amazon gave three students a package of 56 lahks each. The placement rate of CSE students in MAIT is almost 100%

Maharaja AGRASEN INSTITUTE of technology provides internships to many students. Many students got their pre-placement offers from very good companies like Google Amazon Microsoft Infosys. Students create projects like making drones

I have mainly focused on placements and campus life in my review

Placement Experience:

The students of third year are doing internships and are being well paid . After the third year companies start to visit the campus and students have jobs in thier hand even before the start of the third year. Amazon, Accenture and Microsoft are some big MNCs that visited the campus last year . The highest package was of 1.13 crore that was offered by Amazon ( Dublin ) and the average package of CS and IT branch was 8 lakhs. The average package of core branches was 5 to 6 lakhs . Almost 80 percent of the students are getting placed every year . After getting my graduation degree it is pretty sure I'll give a try for MBA

Internships Opportunities:

Many companies like Amazon, Accenture and Microsoft visited the campus. Even Google came. Many students were placed over the package of 10 lakhs. As far as I know, there are almost 120 students from CS and IT branches who got placed above the 12 lakh package.
