Course Details

The SKN Sinhgad Institute of Technology and Science also accepts direct admission under the Lateral entry scheme for the duration of three years from the second year.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum eligibility criteria are 10 and +2 with a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together from the recognized state board.

  • The admission is based on the MHT CET conducted every year.
  • Students who’ve done HSC from other states are also eligible to apply provided they produce a nativity certificate at the time of counselling.
  • Candidates must have passed a Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50% marks. However, 45% marks are considered for backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only.
  • Candidates must have completed B.Sc. from a recognised university as defined by UGC and obtained at least 50% marks. However, 45% marks for backward class and PWD candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only and passed 10+2 with Mathematics as the main subject is also considered.

Selection Criteria 

  • The 12th exam results are taken for consideration. Only students who have done their higher secondary in Maharashtra are eligible for applying for MHT CET.
  • On the basis of student’s performance in the MHT CET exam, they will be taken for admission.
  • With valid JEE Main /Equivalent entrance examination score.
  • Direct admission is offered on the basis of marks in the last qualifying examination for lateral entry.
