SRG Engineering College offers three-year B.E. Lateral Entry courses in various disciplines.  SRG Engineering College offers two-year M.E. program in six disciplines of engineering. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the M.E. program is a B.E. / B.Tech degree in the relevant or allied engineering discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks. Candidates are selected on the basis of GATE or TANCET score through TANCA counselling.

SRG Engineering College Application Process 2023

SRG Engineering College fills its government quota seats through Anna University’s state-level counselling process for engineering admission. Candidates applying for the B.E. and B.E. (Lateral) courses offered by the institute are admitted through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission) counselling based on qualifying exam marks. For M.E. admission, candidates are required to appear for either for GATE or TANCET prior to registering for TANCA (Tamil Nadu Common Admission) counselling, which is the sole admission process in Tamil Nadu for PG engineering admissions under government quota. Management quota candidates can directly apply through the institute level application process.

How to Apply

  • Candidates may visit the Anna University official website or the dedicated admission portals of TNEA and fill the application form online.
  • Candidates are advised to read the information booklet carefully before filling the application form.
  • The applicant is also required to upload scanned copy of the passport-size photograph and signature while filling the online application form.
  • After submission of application form, the candidate is required to take a printout of the same and retain the copy for future correspondence.
  • The applicant is required to send a copy of the application form printout along with attested photocopies of all relevant documents in an enclosure addressed to: The Director of Admissions, Anna University or to the Principal of the College.
  • The application fee can be paid online using credit/ debit card or net-banking at the time of filling the online application form.
  • Those who have opted to pay the application fee via DD must furnish details of the DD while filling the online application form.
  • The physical copy of the DD must accompany a hard copy of the complete application form along with all other requisite documents.
  • The DD must be drawn in favour of ‘Anna University’ payable at Chennai.

SRG Engineering College Counselling Process

  • Candidates shortlisted for counselling must visit the counselling centre on the assigned date for seat allotment.
  • He/ she must carry original copies of all relevant documents along with the counselling call letter including a DD of INR 5000 against the counselling fee.
  • The candidate must report at any of the bank counters of Anna University and obtain the Counselling Form by producing the DD and counselling call letter.
  • Admission to the counselling hall is not allowed unless the candidate has the Counselling Form at hand.
  • Inside the counselling hall, the candidate with the highest rank gets the first opportunity to exercise his options, and the pattern follows.
  • At this phase, the candidate is required to make his choice of college and course based on which admission order is allotted.
  • Lastly, the candidate must sign the admission order and hand over the DD to the counsellor.
  • He/ she must then report at the institute with the allotment letter in order to complete the admission process.
