Likes

  • Well-experienced teachers help us achieve our goals. The college has a well-established course structure. The library, fabrication lab, and Innovation and Development Cell help us attain a deeper knowledge of our course.
  • It is a well-liked college, and I prefer it if you are looking for the best engineering college.
  • We have one of the best record placements in Kerala itself. Most of the students studying here are placed in at least one company.
  • The MCM scholarship is a project initiated by the government to help students, which is a good initiative. As per concerns, everyone is well satisfied with the scholarship, and it is a very commendable initiative by the government.
  • We have a very good platform for sports in our college. Our football team is the best team in our university, and we also have cricket, bollyball, and badminton.
  • Yes, I stay in the college hostel, which is the best in every way. The rooms are more spacious, and the food provided for the students is good.
  • Our college is one of the best colleges in South India and is growing to become one of the best in India.

Dislike

  • The course curriculum is bad as it instructs the college to teach age-old topics that are irrelevant in todays world.
  • I got an internship in FACT, but it is not paid. However, I got an apprenticeship in TCC with a stipend of 9000.
  • In our college, laptops were provided for poor people or people from the SC or ST category.
  • They have a lot of cleanliness issues, toilet issues, and serve low-quality food. 5-6 students have to stay in a single room with a very small area.
  • One cannot say a bad word about the college after spending at least a year here.

Placement Experience:

In terms of placements, the college is rated medium. While some students do get placed in reputed companies, there is still room for improvement. The college offers training and placement programs to help students prepare for the job market, and the placement cell works hard to bring reputed companies to the campus.

Remarks:

Admission to TKM College of Engineering is through the Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical (KEAM) entrance examination conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Kerala. To be eligible for admission to the college, a candidate must have appeared for KEAM and secured a rank under 1700. Other Categories May get reservations too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Every student has a dream. my dream is to do anything for our society. I choose to engineer because I like maths very much. problematic papers, derivations, etc. Faculty qualifications are increasing day by day. many faculties have doctorates. some faculties didn't have doctorates but they teach us very well. I didn't think the exam was too tough. but the university has some issues with the valuation etc. I didn't like their valuation. every student who listen in the class and spent 1 hour daily on their studies definitely they will pass

Remarks:

Based on keam rank upto 30000 ranks Management quota available Management quota fees are double of normal fees Admission to the B.Tech. the course is through the KEAM entrance exam. The applicants will have to sit in the NATA entrance exam for admission to B.Arch. course. Valid rank in GATE is accepted for admission to M.Tech. course. Selection into the MCA program is on the basis of the Kerala CEE exam followed by an interview. Selection into the M.Arch program is on the basis of merit in the Bachelor’s Degree Examination.

Placement Experience:

There is a student-centric placement and career guidance cell on our campus which are open to all students with placements happening usually in the final year. Major companies visited include ORACLE, TCS, TATA, IBM, and MITSOGO, and offered placements to almost 60% of students in a class. Although architecture placements are not very common but with the curriculum students are trained well to get jobs after the course with their skills.

Remarks:

The B arch course is eligible for all students who have chosen the science or maths stream in school and attended the NATA entrance exam. The exam applications start early as October and all the details regarding procedures, and fees can be found on the official NATA website. There is also a JEE paper 2 entrance exam for architecture to apply for central govt colleges like SPA- Delhi ( one of the topmost colleges for architecture) and NITs and IITs.

Most of the big packages are for Computer science students. Companies like TCS, L&T, MRF, Infosys, etc. Are the major recruiters.
