Eligibility Criteria

Aspirants seeking admission to the program must fulfill following Criteria:-

Academic Requirement:

Students who have passed 10+2 in any stream from any recognized board with at least 45% marks (aggregate) are eligible for BCA.

OR
Those candidates who have passed their matriculation examination AND have also passed three year Diploma in any Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical and Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education, or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering & Technology, Longowal.

I choose this course because i was from commerce stream and want to build my career in programming so BCA was the only option. Faculty is too cooperative but the only problem is labs as there are very old computers. Practical tasks in programming are very less.There is 2 Mst exams of 24 marks which are easy to crack. Students need to pass in one of them in order to appear in final exams.

I was very interested to take computer science but due to my commerce background I was not eligible for B.Tech so I applied to Bca this was actually a good decision generally 1 class has 70 to 85 strength and The faculty has completed there Ph.D. so they are very good exams are provides by PTU it was a bit difficult but they are actually helpful in our seniors.

I was an arts stream student and I choose this course because I want to build my career in the field of programming BCA seems to me to be the best option there are 3 exams in a semester 2 must of 24 marks and 1 final exam of 60 marks. The faculty is definitely on the younger side, they are fresh out of their teaching course I believe so they are not the best at their job but they will for sure complete the syllabus and you'll receive all the notes and questions will be delivered to you on time. The exams are easier because they provide you with the important questions anyway well before the MSTs, so no need to worry about test scores
