What students say about Thakur College of Engineering and Technology - [TCET]

Likes

  • Great opportunities for sports and show up on skills for students
  • According to my experience the orientation of the subjects are good.
  • The library of college is to great and there is a lots of book a available
  • I liked the crowd of our college it is so nice
  • The first thing that I like most in the college is the great infrastructure of the college
  • I like my institute because of the facility given my college like there se canteen, library's and much more
  • Many mncs visit every year, like jp morgan and oracle and they took almost 50 students every year

Dislike

  • Its not just our case, but its the case in all colleges where students are unable to acquire proper knowledge or practical skills.
  • They offer substandard training programs, charge for them, make them mandatory, and disqualify you if you miss even a few lectures!
  • The fee for Thakur College of Engineering and Technology is 1 lakh 60 thousand rupees, but it is lower for minority students. In Thakur College, we have a Hindi minority, and these students are required to speak in the Hindi language.
  • They used to charge 2000rs/year just for sports, which was unnecessary because the fees were already very high and there was no way to avoid paying it, unfortunately.
  • The hostel is nearby to a college, not very far, but some facilities are not given, like food, home appliances, etc. Additionally, the interior of the hostel is not much better.
  • Overall, the college is good. However, when it comes to the administrative staff, they are the worst and rudest staff I have ever encountered.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It is a more upcoming field nowadays. As we see the need for IT engineers it is the correct decision to choose this field. Overall curriculum and faculty of the college are quite good as they focus more on improving the skills of students and providing the best knowledge to students. There are 3-semester exams are held with one end sem exam in one semester.

Remarks:

Admission is based on JEE main and CET exams, there is a different cut of the list for every branch. If one got a percentile above that cut-off range and based on the number of students, admission takes place. Reservation for ST, NT, and OBC is also there and there is TFWS (Tuition Fee Wavier Scheme) where the annual fee of students is minimized.
