Eligibility Criteria

Applicants shall have the eligibility criteria as mentioned below:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Technology (4 years after 10+2 or?3 years after B.Sc. / Diploma in Engineering / Technology) -?Currently in the final year or already completed.

OR

M. Sc. / MCA or equivalent??Master’s degree in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent.??

OR

Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E. / B.Tech. / B. Arch.)?recognised by MHRD / UPSC / AICTE (e.g., AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers-India).?

Applicants should have scored a minimum of 60% in the qualifying degree.?

Admission Guidelines

  • Admission is through all India entrance - Amrita Graduate Entrance Test 2018 for M.Tech. Amrita Graduate Entrance Test (AGET) 2018 is the only test for NON-GATE qualified candidates to get an admission to the M.Tech Programs offered by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The test is conducted for 8 different papers. The Duration of the test is for 120 minutes. There will be total of 60 questions. 30 from engineering based on the qualifying degree, 30 from Mathematics & Aptitude. All questions are of multiple choice. A correct answer will be awarded 3 marks. There is NO NEGATIVE marking.
  • GATE qualified applicants are given direct admission provided they qualify through interview conducted before the last date of application submission. If not qualified, applicants can choose the paper appropriate to the discipline of their qualifying degree if Amrita Graduate Entrance Test (AGET) exam is available in such a discipline. This is to be eligible for a specialization where the qualifying examination is not relevant.
