Course Details

Tripura University was established in 1987. The University started the BA on-campus program in 2001 through its distance mode. The university offers a full-time B.A. program in various disciplines such as Hindi, Sanskrit, English, History, Geography, Zoology, etc. through its DDE center. Admission to the BA courses is based on the candidate’s performance in the entrance examination conducted by the university.

The entrance test however was canceled in 2020 and the admission was offered on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the 10+2 examination.
Candidates seeking admission to BA programs should have completed their 10+2 with at least four subjects including English from any recognized University/ College.

Tripura University BA Admission Guidelines

The students are selected for the B.A. program based on their performance in the Tripura University entrance test (TUET). The entrance test however was canceled in 2020 and the admission was offered on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the 10+2 examination.
The students are required to present in counseling cum admission events. The students selected in the counseling cum admission process need to make their first-semester fee within three days of selection, or the students' candidature will remain canceled. 50% of total course seats are for the unreserved category, and 50 % of seats are available for the reserved category students. The selected students have to produce an anti-ragging affidavit to the head of the department. The new students can change the discipline within 15 days of the commencement of classes.

How to Apply?

The aspiring students can apply online mode after visiting the official website.

Candidates should visit the official website to apply online for courses at Tripura University.
Candidates should go through the prospectus.
To apply online, candidates need to register themselves first by providing an email ID and phone number with some details.
After registration, applicants will receive the username and password in the registered email ID or mobile number.
After getting the login details, applicants should fill up the application form and provide the details. Applicants are required to upload their Passport photograph and other documents.
The application fee is INR 800 for UR / OBC candidates and INR 600 for SC/ ST / PWD candidates.
After successful submission, candidates need to download an "Acknowledgement"
Candidates can apply for a maximum of three courses, but they have to submit an application form separately for each.
Since TUET is Cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, admissions will be based on Marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
After the form filling process, Tripura University will release a Merit list for selected candidates, and they will be called for counseling.
After the counseling, candidates will be called for document verification and final admission. The Dates for the counseling will be announced on the official website.
