The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law (SOEL), Chennai, Tamil Nadu was originated on September 20 1997, and University started from October 3, 1997, by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the performance of the State Legislature. The institute was established in 2002. The University is acknowledged by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). The institute proposes training at the campus as well as through eight other colleges affiliated with it in the state of Tamil Nadu inhabited in Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Chengalpattu, Vellore and Salem. The university endeavors Undergraduate courses of 3years and also combined 5 years of courses, along with Postgraduate and Research Centre which allows Master of Law Degree Courses in eight different specializations, the doctoral program as well as designing analysis in different regions of law.
