Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association (BPTPIA) will conduct the competitive entrance test (CET) for candidates seeking admission into undergraduate (UG) Engineering/Technology Degree (B.Tech) and Diploma (Polytechnic) courses. BPTPIA CET 2022 will be scheduled in the month June 2022 (tentatively).
- BPTPIA CET is held once a year, usually in the months of either May or June (tentatively).
- BPTPIA CET Application Forms for both B.Tech and Polytechnic programs is submitted in offline mode
- Application form can however be procured through online or offline mode (demand draft or cash)
- Candidates need to fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by BPTPIA before applying
- BPTPIA CET 2022 Admit card will be dispatched via post on the registered address of applicants.
- Duration of BPTPIA CET 2022 will be two hours

BPTPIA CET 2022 Exam Dates

BPTPIA CET 2022 Eligibility
There are certain eligibility criteria guidelines that a candidate must fulfil before applying for BPTPIA CET 2022. Eligibility criteria for degree and diploma courses are different. Candidates can go through the detailed BPTPIA CET 2022 Eligibility Criteria mentioned below for both B.Tech and Polytechnic programs.
1. Eligibility Criteria for UG 4-year Engineering & Technology Degree Program
- Admission in First Year
- Candidate must have cleared 10+2 examination, with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocation as compulsory subjects
- Candidate must secure a minimum of 45% marks in above mentioned qualifying examination. For candidates belonging to reserved category, the minimum qualifying marks in qualifying examination is relaxed to 40%.
- Lateral Entry Admission in Second Year
- Candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in an All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved Diploma examination in appropriate Engineering/Technology branch. Minimum marks threshold for candidates from reserved category is 40%
- Candidate must have secured a minimum of 45% marks in any B.Sc degree course from a recognized University and should have cleared 10+2 examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject. Minimum marks threshold for candidates from reserved category is 40%
- Candidates from B.Sc background should have passed Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Graphics/Engineering Drawing papers from first year, along with papers of second year
- Furthermore, candidates from B.Sc background will be given consideration after supernumerary seats in this category have been filled by candidates from Diploma background
- Candidates from both B.Sc and Diploma background will be eligible for admission into first year of Engineering & technology degree courses, in case lateral entry seats are exhausted. However, first year admission is subject to availability of seats
2. Eligibility Criteria for UG 3-year Engineering & Technology Diploma Program
- Admission in First Year
- Candidate must have cleared 10th or Matriculation examination or any equivalent examination
- Candidate need to secure a minimum of 35% in the qualifying examination
- Lateral Entry Admission in Second Year
- Candidate must have cleared 10+2 vocational or ITI in a recognized academic stream
- Candidate need to secure a minimum of 60% in the qualifying examination
3. Age Criteria: There is no minimum or maximum age threshold to appear for BPTPIA CET 2022
BPTPIA 2022 Application Form
Candidates will have to submit application form for BPTPIA CET 2022 through offline mode only. However, application form can be obtained by both through online and offline mode. They have to download and take a printout of the same. No changes are permitted post submission of the form online. Steps to apply for BPTPIA CET 2022 are mentioned below.
Online Procurement of application Form
- Visit the official website of BPTPIA.
- Find the ‘Download Forms’ section on left side of homepage and click on ‘Download Engineering form’ to apply for degree courses or ‘Download Polytechnic form’ to appear for diploma courses
- Download the selected application form and take printout of the same
Offline Procurement of Application Form
- Candidates can obtain prospectus and application form for BPTPIA CET 2022 from BPTPIA Office or offices of all institutions participating in entrance exam
- Candidate can either make cash payment of INR 100 to buy prospectus and application form or make a payment of INR 150 through demand draft payable at Patna, in favor of ‘Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association’, to receive the same by post.
Steps to fill BPTPIA CET 2022 Application Form
- Fill all details on application form – name of applicant and parents, address, contact details, gender, category, academic details, subject applied for, Declaration by candidate and parents
- Candidate needs to indicate choice of institutes in order of preference. 1 should be given to the most preferred institute, 2 should be given to next preference and so on
- Candidate also needs to number examination centers in order of preference.
- Candidate will then have to fill two identical copies of Admit Card
- One admit card is for office use while other is for candidate
- Candidate will have to stick 3 passport size photographs – one on application form and one each on the two admit cards
- Candidate must duly sign the application form and copies of admit card
- Candidate is required to get a demand draft of INR 100 issued in favor of ‘Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association’. Demand draft must be payable at Patna
- Candidate also need to carry following documents-
- Self-attested copies of academic certificates, mark sheets and pass certificates
- Self-attested copies of School Leaving Certificate/College Leaving Certificate and caste/category certificate (if applicable)
- Self-attested copy of birth certificate
- Photocopy of character certificate issued by head of institution last attended
- Two self-addressed envelopes duly stamped with INR 50 each. Size of envelope should be 30 x 25cm
- Application form, along with demand draft (in case of online form procurement) and aforementioned enclosures must be submitted to the BPTPIA.
- All the requisite documents must be submitted on or before last date of submission
BPTPIA CET 2022 Application Fee
Application fee is same irrespective of category to which candidate belongs. In case candidate obtains prospectus and application form through offline mode, he/she needs to either pay INR 100 cash or INR 150 in form of demand draft if procuring documents through post.
Candidate can also choose to obtain application form through online mode, in which case he/she will have to submit a demand draft of INR 100, while submitting application form.
BPTPIA CET 2022 Admit Card
BPTPIA CET 2022 Admit card will be sent by conducting authority through post one week prior to the schedule of exam. It is necessary to have admit card because no candidate will be allowed to enter examination hall without in possession of admit card.
- Application form contains two identical admit cards – one of Office Copy and other is Student Copy
- The student copy will be sent to candidate via post on the registered address
- Admit card will be send through the self-addressed, duly stamped envelope submitted with application form
- Conducting authority does not assume any responsibility for candidate not receiving admit card due to discrepancy in address mentioned on envelope
- In case candidate does not receive admit card in time, he/she is required to visit BPTPIA’s office to enquire about the same
- BPTPIA 2022 Admit card clearly specifies that candidate must only use ball point pen during exam

BPTPIA 2022 Exam Centers
BPTPIA 2022 Exam Centers for Polytechnic and Engineering entrance examination will vary. BPTPIA CET 2022 Exam Centers for both programs will be located in the respective colleges offering the courses.
- BPTPIA CET 2022 for Polytechnic programs will be held at all 24 participating institutes
- Similarly, examination for Engineering programs will be held at all 15 participating institutes
- All examination centers are within the state of Bihar
- Examination center will be allotted after submission of application forms by candidates, in which they have to indicate examination centers in order of their preference
- Allocation of center is done at the sole discretion of conducting authority (taking into account preferences of candidates)
- However, center once allocated cannot be changed.
- Candidate will have to appear for examination with admit card at the center mentioned on his/her admit card
BPTPIA 2022 Exam Pattern & Syllabus
BPTPIA CET 2022 Exam Pattern is not mentioned in detail in the official notification. However, the authority will be specified the following details in the notification pertaining to notification.

BPTPIA CET 2022 Result will be announced by conducting authority within 10 days of the conduct of examination. BPTPIA will publish the result on its official website, from where it can be downloaded by students.

- Students will be called for counselling solely on the basis of their performance in the entrance test.

BPTPIA CET 2022 Counselling
BPTPIA CET 2022 Counselling will be done completely on the basis of marks obtained by candidate in written exam. Subsequent to declaration of result, candidates will receive intimation regarding appearing for the counselling process.
