GAT-B 2023 Exam Pattern: The GAT-B 2023 exam is a computer-based test (CBT) for a duration of 3 hours (180 minutes). What is GAT-B 2023?

The Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology, or GAT-B, is an entrance exam/ eligibility test conducted for candidates seeking admission into DBT-supported PG programs. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has been tasked by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB), Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, for conducting of Graduate Aptitude Test – Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2023.

Students who qualify for GAT-B 2023 are eligible for admission into various PG Biotechnology programs such as M.Sc. Biotechnology, M.Sc. Agricultural Biotechnology, and other allied subjects. Additionally, they are awarded DBT – Junior Research Fellowship (DBT-JRF) for pursuing research in frontier areas of Biotechnology.

A total of 34 universities participate in GAT-B counseling. There are 62 PG courses and a total of 1127 vacant seats. However, the number of participating universities and vacant seats are subject to change depending on the release of the official notification by the NTA.

The GAT-B 2023 question paper has only objective type questions. The questions in both Section A and Section B are multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Candidates should remember the following detail about GAT-B 2023 exam questions:
