JOAPS 2023 Counselling: Eligibility Criteria

JOAPS 2023 Counselling: Registration Process
Candidates registering for IIT JAM Counselling should remember the below mentioned steps.

- Fill out the Admission Form for IIT JAM JOAPS 2023 Counselling: According to the organizing committee, candidates who pass more than one test paper need to complete only one admission form. A processing fee of INR 600 must be paid after submitting the properly completed admission form for counselling.

JOAPS 2023 Counselling Process
The counselling process of JOAPS 2023 includes the following steps:
- Qualify the IIT JAM Examination: Candidates must first register for the exam, pay the registration fees, and then select colleges for admission before locking their choices. Appear for the exam and score higher that the cut off decided upon by the organizing committee.
- Seat Allotment: A seat will be assigned to the candidate based on their exam performance, the IIT JAM Cut-offs, preference given by the candidate, and the number of applicants. The seat allocation fee would need to be submitted by candidates (for the first round only)
- Online Document Submission: The candidates must upload their supporting documents (explained in more detail in the sections below) for validation. Online submission and verification of the documents would be used.
- Acceptance or Rejection of Seat: Candidates would have the choice of accepting or rejecting a seat. A candidate has the option of rejecting the seat if they are unhappy with it. The section below provides more information on each option available for the Acceptance/Withdrawal procedure.
- Physical Attendance: The candidate must physically be present at the designated institute for document verification as part of the final Counselling phase. The individual will need to enroll at the institute after the paperwork has been successfully verified.
JOAPS 2023 Counselling Fees
The candidate must freeze the seats in order to provide a confirmation from their end if they are going to take admission to that particular college or not. The payment is to be done through online mode that is either via credit/debit cards or net banking.

JOAPS 2023 Counselling: Seat Allotment
The authorities will present three admission lists for the IIT JAM. Candidates can view the four Admission List details provided below.
- Candidates will be given admission offers to various IITs following the publication of the First Admission List. Candidates with lower priority on the list will receive less attention. Higher-choice candidates will stay on the list.
- The second list will be used for applicants who were not given seats on the first admissions list. If the offer is declined, the applicant's admission will be instantly revoked.
- The candidates' seats will be assigned based on vacancies at the participating institutions.
- For questions, applicants must get in touch with the institutions offering admission. The organization that conducts JOAPS Counselling is not in charge of answering any queries.
- The distribution of IIT JAM seats is determined by the candidates' merit rankings.
IIT JAM JOAPS First Admission List
The State Bank of India's E-Challan service must be used to pay a seat reservation fee for candidates who made the first admission list. As stated in the offer letter, applicants must pay the submission fee before the deadline.
IIT JAM JOAPS Second Admission List
If there are still seats available on the first list, authorities will release the second counselling list. Candidates must pay a seat reservation fee via the State Bank of India's E-Challan in order to reserve their seats.
IIT JAM JOAPS Third Admission List
